We were passing through town and wanted a donut. A very kind and friendly lady helped me out. My glazed donut was still pretty fresh even though we came at 3:40 (just before 4pm) on Sunday! They even had crullers which are hard to find.
A solid good donut shop

Based on customer reviews, MartsDonut is a highly recommended, real donut shop with phenomenal, super fluffy, and delicious donuts. The service is excellent, with very nice, helpful, and sweet staff who are generous, especially when ordering in bulk. The owners are very sweet people who provide fast service. The donuts are always fresh and good, with a nice variety of options, including an Old Fashioned Donut in regular or chocolate covered, a Cinnamon Roll the size of a plate, and a Maple Bar. Prices are reasonable and affordable, and will not break the bank. There is plenty of parking available in the lot shared with other businesses. While the tables can be kind of messy, the overall experience is good. This small mom 'n' pop shop is a hidden gem, better than yum yum and Petersons donuts, and is the best donut shop in Escondido. It is always busy for a reason: quality donuts at reasonable prices. Customers keep going back and give it a 5 star rating.
