Party of 4. About 10am. Not busy. Service started out great. By the time the food arrived, we were the only people on that side of the restaurant. Service still good. Finished eating and sat there talking. Check delivered and paid. Service ended. We sat there talking at a table full of dirty dishes, and empty coffee cups. Server never returned... The omelettes are huge. Ingredients are mixed together, not just sitting in the middle of some folded over eggs. My wife ordered the pancakes and regretted the order when she saw on another table how much fries or onion rings you get with a burger. The pancakes were good though.
First time visitor to Mila's Cafe, we had a groupon which was a great way to encourage us to try out a new place. This uses to be known as the Center City Cafe and has a been an Escondido landmark on the south of Center City Parkway for many years. The decor is very reminiscent of a classic country diner with booths along the window and those large round booths in the corners.
