Rubio’s Escondido. Literally just watched the guy packing my to-go bag drop a side dish container on the floor (lid stayed on) and put in directly back into my food bag straight from the floor. I literally laughed out loud and looked directly at him and he has zero concern looking right at me and placing it directly into my bag from the floor. Soooo disgusting. If that’s what they do when I am watching can you even imagine what they do if no one sees. Ugh. Sucks, zero concern for anyone’s health. Would have taken 2 seconds to make a new one but nope.

Food as usual is disgusting. Green salsa was inflating its vessel, so it has gone bad. Food is flooded with sauce. Shrimp is either over or under cooked. Breading on fish taco tastes like frying oil is long past due. Amazing how bad it can be consistently.

I haven't had Rubio's in almost 10 years and it was better than I remember. The Gourmet Chicken Tacos were perfect and the hospitality was top notch. This is easily the best meal for under 15 bucks you can get.

Please fix your seating. A bad look. My Mahi fish tacos were good. Fish was cooked perfectly and not overcooked. Tried the chicken soup which was not good, it is clearly a bad attempt trying to make chicken soup. They just took grilled chicken breast and a lot of salt, rice, avocado and dumped it into a small cup - avoid. Was there at night and the restaurant was cold. Who wants to eat in the cold? Service was good, no complaints about that. Management of this chain is trying to cheap out on a lot of things and they are losing.

I have been here a couple of times, and the last two visits were disappointing. The food tasted bland, and the Mahi Mahi those smelled fishy. The tostada chips had zero salt, and the refried beans tasted watered down. It looked like what appeared to be the manager was there doing paperwork and had her receipts, laptop, and personal items strewn about one of the customer tables. Service was stellar, but the food is why we came. I would not recommend Rubios as we have had better food at the California Fish and Grill down the road.

It"s OK, cheap fast food, what do you want? I had the Mahi fish taco plate. It was fine, nothing special The fish was cooked perfectly and not overcooked. They need to fix their ripped vinyl seating. Show some pride in ownership Rubios.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp

Been coming to rubios for years, love the variety of food options. Great customer service here from the moment you walk through the doors. The food was delicious as always!Kid-friendliness: I come with all 4 of my kids. Nice big corner booth to fit everyone in! And they love the kid menu options!

Taco Tues at Rubios is the best! Fish tacos were great, salsa choices are awesome. Service was a bit slow but that's Taco Tues for you.

Ordered 2 steak tacos, each taco had less than a teaspoon of meat, filled with more cream, lettuce etc. Had to combine both to create a taco.

Ordered carry out. I ordered the Avocado Corn Taco Salad with chicken. There qas NO Avocado at all. What I did find was what looked like a piece of wood! Since I was already home, half through my salad, and very hungry....I opted to NOT return square piece of wood and remaining salad without Avocado. Instead, I threw it out, made a sandwich, and will leave this review..And...NEVER RETURN! I posted a picture of the square piece of foreign substance.

The cashiers were really unprofessional, and made fun of my beard, ok, so I need a trim, but the least they should do as an employee is to joke about them in the back and not 10 feet away from the person they are making fun of. The food is ok for the price, but the chips, beans, and salsa are bland and taste like they forgot to add salt. I won’t be eating here for a long time, it’s not worth spending $20 to get made fun of.
