Sunny Side Kitchen has the best food bar none. Sandwiches are light yet very filling. Watermelon lemonade to wash it down. Escondido has the best little cafe this side of Paris. So glade Bob and Kate settled here!
Having lived in the area for 5 years I have passed by many times, but never gone in to try it out. Well, finally I was able to drop in and order some breakfast. All of the great reviews are spot on. I was greeted by Kate the owner who was friendly and welcoming. I ordered an avocado, egg and cheese panini and it was fantastic! Toasty and melt in your mouth good. I will be back again soon!

Perfect little breakfast place. The zucchini quiche and half sandwich was amazing! I also got an iced chai latte and loved it. The service was so friendly and fun. If I'm ever in town again I will be going back!

I got my first haircut since the pandemic nearby and decided to walk around and maybe grab a bite somewhere. Saw this place and I remember hearing about it on the news so I walked in with a traditional breakfast (omelette, biscuits 'n gravy etc) in mind. "This is a Panini Place" oh I'm not really a panini person... (barely knew what a panini was) "try our breakfast panini" the people here were so nice and friendly I decided to do a half-order breakfast panini to go.
Damned if I wish I had ordered a whole sandwich it was so tasty. I guess I'm a panini person now. The best part of the sandwich was the parmesan that got melted into a crunchy crust that coated the bread, never had anything like it. My new spot folks!

Went in on Monday around 10 am. The place is small but there is indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was very friendly and inviting. Got the 808 panini and a dozen chocolate chip cookies. The Sandwich was very good. The bread was soft yet perfectly toasted. The cheeses/spam and avocado had the perfect balance of salt and fat. The cookies are so soft, and I could easily have eaten all 12! Definitely a great hidden gem in Escondido

I recently had a fundraising event and Sunny Side was such a great choice for catering. After I sent an email, I got a call back and we walked through the order and right sized it. The guests really enjoyed an artichoke quiche, strawberry chicken salad and three types of mini cookies. Everyone raved about the food. It was all packaged up to be easy to serve. I would highly recommend working with Sunny Side on your next catering need!
