Hands down the best Mexican food in all the land! They even have a small keto menu that is amazing. Nowhere else has this and it is so very much appreciated. The owner and staff are really kind and make delicious food.
Such good food. If I lived closer, I would be here all the time! The fish tacos were amazing, and they didn’t have the birria tacos today, but was recommended the quesa tacos with pork — also, so good! Definitely a must!
I have been going to Cocina Mariposa regularly since moving to Humboldt in January 2019. I have tried a fairly large portion of the menu at this point. Every single thing I have ordered has invariably been fresh and absolutely delicious.
For me, particular highlights are the chili relleno plate, the tacos (with habanero salsa if you like spicy), and the California burrito. If you're into Mexican breakfast, their breakfast tortas and chilaquiles are excellent....
