Tried the super vegan sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. I appreciate that it had house made vegan tofu salad instead of a just egg patty. Made for a unique and very filling sandwich. Sadly missed out on the vegan donuts, but they had some chocolate coconut truffles that were very tasty. The staff was super friendly and threw in some little extras for us since it was almost closing time. I also loved all the local art and crafts for sale on the wall.

As a native New Yorker I never expect “NY bagel” places to live up to the name, but this bagel was really dry and overpriced. The vegan cream cheese was plastic-y and the staff weren’t super friendly. Giving them 3 stars for having many vegan options and GF options too, beautiful art displayed, and build your own bagel choices! I would probably recommend the hummus over the cream cheese– even though I didn’t try it I’m sure it is probably tastier😄I didn’t try the drinks but they looked good, with many milk options.

This is sort of a sad review for me to write. I think the bagels and the dining experience are fantastic. So much so that I follow their instagram and have purchased the merch to wear around Humboldt.
But, what I just don’t understand is why they resist selling me their bagels. You go to a bagel store or a donut place and if the bagels/donuts are available and you have money, they sell you the bagels/donuts. Early bird gets the worm, right? But more than once, I have been made to feel guilty for wanting to buy a dozen bagels. I have even been refused a sale being told that they make more money on bagel sandwiches over selling them by the dozen.
Ever watch Seinfeld? It has become the vibe of the soup episode where I feel that I must apologize or beg to be their customer. So, I decided not to be their customer any longer.
My body probably doesn’t need the carbs any longer anyways.
But it makes me sad to unfollow them.

Was excited to stop by here & try the place out. Being a pastry chef I visit other bakeries & see what they’ve got. Frankie’s doesn’t have much, they’re donuts are tha worst thing they make, & I really wanted to like them. Fortunately their bagels were okay, but Los Bagels definitely has a better bagel which is in Arcata. The owner seemed ingenuine at Frankie’s. Their staff at the front was very kind to me tho, so thanks!

I wish it was a little clearer what items are seasonal. I've only been a few times, but the 2 things I wanted to get while they were not available this month.

This place is amazing!! From the “addicting” NY style bagels to the local artists’ gallery, 10 out of 10 would recommend coming to Frankie’s. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming.

Tucked away and hidden in redwood acres is a bagel place with lots of bagel options and lots of toppings. They have donuts and coffee also. I had a onion bagel with garlic chives cream cheese, avocado and larapin and my husband had a jalapeno cheddar bagel with plain cream cheese, avocado and honey (idk either he's weird) both were so good. I had a cold brew salted caramel with my bagel because they have coffee ice cubes! My husband also got a box of donut holes, there was alot for the price on the box. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly employees.
