Three good and drinks were all very good. We had the steelhead and alfredo. I do wish they gave you an option to pick your own sides. My alfredo said it came with miso soup or salad and i wasn't offered either.

Calamari was great perfectly cooked with a great fresh flavor. The coconut shrimp was perfectly deep fried with deep fried coconut flakes on it along with an amazing sweet chili sauce. The oysters had a subtle smokey flavor with a rich and tangy aioli sauce.

I went out to Eureka last year for work, but completely forgot to post a review. This place is FANTASTIC. My only complaint is that I don't live closer to eat there. And, unless work sends me again, doubt I ever will again sadly. While out in California and on the coast, I made it basically a requirement I have my fill of fish. And, I had never had Halibut before. Tried Jack's and it was by far the best fish that I ever ate.My co-worker and I also made a rule that we weren't going to visit the same place twice during the week that we were out there. We broke that rule for Jack's. Ate there twice and was super happy for both.Maybe able to ship me some of that delicious Halibut to Texas?

Calamari was soooo good and tender the sauce was the bomb. Loved the halibut fish and chips, clam chowder. Pasta was rich and crab was tender. Tai tea was yummy.

Had dinner at Jack's. Service was good. Waiter was quick, attentive & on his game. It was storming outside, wet & cold. Inside the restaurant was chilly. There is not much to say about the atmosphere. Besides the waiter, there was a waitress who mostly hung out near the bar. She seemed more interested in chatting/gossiping than working. There was no customers at the bar & a handful of diners.I ordered a Bloody Mary, not spicy. Apparently they use a bottled mixer rather than make their own, therefore the waiter had no control of the spice level of my drink. They don't stock tomatoe juice to add to the Bloody Mary mix to make it less spicy. It was just to spicy hot so I only drank half of it.I ordered clam chowder, grilled halibut with veggies. The clam chower was terrible. The halibut was served quickly but was nothing special. The veggies was mostly broccoli, which I'm not a fan of & a few carrots which were fine & I wished there was more of.All in all, I might be willing to eat at Jack's in the future but there are plenty of other restaurants I would diffently be interested in trying first & other places I like the food better.Dietary restrictions: I'm diabetic & not a coffee drinker. Milk & water were the only other beverages Jack's serves that is not loaded full of sugar. Bloody Mary was the only mixed drink they serve that is low in sugar. Some restaurants have started to carrying sugar free lemonade, sugar free flavored sparkling water, Bai Antioxidant Infusion with less than 1 gram of sugar. Several bars have started serving sugar free Mike's Hard Lemonade & Zero Sugar Cayman Jack Margarita's.Some restaurants have added low sugar ice cream, other dessert options or a mixed berry bowl to their menu.I appreciate any restaurant or bar that takes diabetic customers into consideration & attempts to accommodate 35% of the population who is currently dealing with trying to follow a low-no sugar diet & still live a normal life. It has made dining out an enjoyable experience once again.

Absolutely amazing food and service. My family and I had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this restaurant! Brittany was excellent, she was attentive, fast, accommodating, and so incredibly sweet. To start we had a beautifully fresh salad, creamy clam chowder, and savory mushroom miso soup. For an entree I would definitely recommend the seafood Alfredo; with shrimp, crab, and scallops, the crab Mac and cheese, the grilled steelhead trout, and the combo fish and chips. Everything was sooo good, the vegetables were so fresh and so was the seafood (you could even watch the boats come in to bring fresh seafood). After all the wonderful food we had a decadent tiramisu, and a silky chocolate mousse. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Absolutely LOVE this restaurant! Fresh seafood perfectly prepared and delicious! Friendly service, too! While eating here we watched a trawler offload several hundred pounds of live crabs just behind Jack's. Can't get much fresher than that. Photos & video below. They do have a large separate room for large parties, two guest bathrooms as well as highchairs and booster seats for the kiddos. Oh, and a well stocked bar for the grown-ups. In the steps-away free parking lot there are two ChargePoint Level 2 chargers. Cost varies by time of day. Highly recommend Jack's!

We were a little, off season, for truly fresh seafood (thus the 4 stars instead of 5), but it was prepared perfectly and very tasty, considering the off season...
