This restaurant specializes in seafood, and the items we chose were wonderful. One of us has celiac, so everything must be gluten free, and I have IBS, so can't do onions and garlic. The scallops were big and buttery, and tasted amazing. I had the sea bass, which was tender and tasty. The french fries were GF and cooked perfectly. We shared the dessert, apricot and cherry crumble, which was served warm and capped off the meal perfectly.
In my experience, service at HSG has always been top notch. They have their signature dishes which we found to be excellent. Reliably high quality & attention to detail. A perfect “before-the-performance” choice!
I have written reviews on The Hayes Street Grill in the past so you can look at those reviews and see other comments. I have been eating at this restaurant for 42 years and they are always fabulous. Whenever out of town guests are in town, I always take them to The Hayes Street Grill. When I attend concerts at The San Francisco Symphony, it is my go to restaurant to eat at prior to a concert.
