Darby our waitress was a rock star! I love Tuna Melts but always seem to get the worse at other restaurants.. this places chef’s special TM was killer. Extremely cool aesthetic casual joint in Eureka. Redwood accents & custom artwork everywhere. Prices good.
Great menu of unique diverse items. Never had a bad meal or poor service. The Hood sets a high bar for casual dining in Humboldt County. Their attention to detail is apparent. (Also, best burgers in Eureka).
This spot's awesome! They've got cool, unique local art and amazing food. Their local catch menu is super tasty. If you live here and haven't been, you should totally check it out. If you're just visiting, like I was, this is a must-eat place, and you gotta try something local. Everything was great, and we ate here twice in a week because it was so good.

The Hood great food delicious and great service. It had great atmosphere and great music. Tacos and corn dip were amazing. Sandwich and burger was good. garlic fries were delicious along with cheese curds perfect. lemon pepper wings were sublime but honey garlic wings were 11/10. Thai Steak salad excellent. mango tea light refreshing. sparkling lemonade good too. pesto chicken sandwich excellent. fish tacos excellent. Churros with creme fraiche and chocolate sauce dessert insanely good. Staff did wonderful job. Server offered great service. Local food highly recommend. homemade rootbeer some of best in area. First time visiting The Hood fascinating and will be coming back.
