I drive a semi across the lower 48 and I love barbecue. California has very good food—Mexican, seafood, Asian are all as good here as you’ll find anywhere—but barbecue? Not so much. Shamus is easily the best around and quite good. Not the best I’ve had and not very consistent on their top dollar items—I’ve had four Rib Eye steaks; 3 were quite good, one was gristly and poorly seasoned—but their skewers are the best I’ve had, their ribs are very good, their asparagus...
Great atmosphere in here! We come for our anniversary and had the porterhouse steak and filet, everything was delicious, the creamy garlic mash potatoes I could live off those! Service was fast and friendly. We chose to sit in the bar area, but at a table.
Great food, we happened to be there during a wedding, they ran out of tri-tip, and service was slow. Our Server was put in the position of having to apologize over and over. I would give them another try. The food was really worth a second chance.
