This place used to be so good. The atmosphere and location are great but the food was so overpriced and nothing special. It was $16 for a side of beans and rice for our baby and they were out of both the fish and el pastor tacos on the menu.

Was looking for a good Mexican place and based on reviews chose this one. Food was just okay and overpriced for how much you get. Service was good though.

The tacos were tasty (nothing too special) but they cost 9 dollars a piece. Two birria tacos, average size, 18 dollars. No beans and rice, nothing else. This is insane.

Good beer and food. Outdoor/indoor seating. Recommend specials(enchiladas, fish tacos) and ask what's NOT on the menu.

The food here is okay but overpriced. The horchata tasted like sweet oat milk, and the pozole didn’t taste much like pozole. The mushroom tacos were fine, and the fish tacos were also okay. I wouldn’t recommend it to people who have been to Mexico because you will likely be disappointed. However, if you've never been to Mexico, you might probably like it 🤷🏽‍♀️
Service was fast and people were friendly 😊

Mas Masa is an absolute gem! The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful—every bite feels like a celebration of bold and authentic flavors. The staff is just as wonderful, making the experience even better with their warm and welcoming service. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or a full meal, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend!

Mas Masa has hands down the best tacos in Marin. The environment, staff, and food all create an amazing experience to dine and hang out after long work days. Family friendly and great outdoor space for sunny days! Highly recommend!

This place is very over priced and the service is very extremely slow.

Great place and menu. Loved chips and salsa guacamole aqua Fresca. Good kale salad, was a little bland but otherwise great. Nice patio with powerful heaters

Stellar Mexican food in the heart of Fairfax!

They have the standard fare you would expect, but made it very simple for our vegan friend to find complete meals that tickled his taste buds.

In a street with several restaurant options, they stand out as one of the absolute best.

Overpriced for small portions of "okay" food. I used to work at this place before the pandemic and change of ownership. Even after the change of owners I would still haunt this place for the items i knew were good. Went there a few weeks ago an ordered a small salad with chicken - $21. Flies are everywhere in the patio. Food just doesn't meet the quality for the price like it used too. Wont be going back...Better choice would be establishments in San Rafael and the Canal that give you more than a decent meal for a reasonable price.

While my dining companions stated that the fish tacos were pretty good I was pretty disappointed. My $18. burrito chicken al pastor was mostly rice & beans with a trace amount of chicken. A mediocre Mexican restaurant, especially for CA!

I went to Mas Masa earlier this week and saw "Alaskan salmon" on the menu. Having recently returned from commercial fishing salmon in Alaska I was excited to try some of my catch. I asked the waiter what type of salmon were in the tacos interested if it was the species we were catching (sockeye). He said he would go ask the chef and when he returned, he said it was "Atlantic salmon". There is no "Atlantic salmon" in Alaska. There is no wild "Atlantic salmon" period. I let him know this and returned to my meal not wanting to waste $19 even if it was for dog food. The chef then had the audacity to send the server back out to tell me that the "Atlantic salmon was from Alaska". Excuse me... where in the hell is the Atlantic Ocean in Alaska. I have spent my past 5 summers commercially fishing salmon in Alaska. I can say with confidence that he was boldly lying to my face. Maybe next time you gaslight your customers, pick someone less informed (or without a middle school geography degree).
