“My daughter and I were visiting Nova Scotia from western Canada recently. We'd spent the night at a hotel near the airport and seriously needed good coffee to cope with our jet lag before going on to Digby. We had a wonderful breakfast and great coffee. Service was lovely. I liked it so much that I stopped by a week later on my way back to the airport!”

“Since we moved here I have tried many a items on the menu and I haven’t had a complaint yet I do however like the burritos without lettuce cus it gets mushy surrounded by the heat inside the burritos but everything I eat there is always really tasty! The service is fast and tables are always ready to sit down!Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and a booster seat! Great options on the kids menu as well!”

“This is some of the best pizza I have eaten and I have had pizza in the major pizza cities: New York and Chicago plus L.A. and the Bay Area.On top of that, this is a family owned place and they are always super friendly, courteous and correct. Their crust is ah-maz-ing. I have gone here many times and they are consistent in their awesomeness. They have a pool table too and games too. The decor is fun and interesting. Their Christmas lights are outstanding! We just love these people and their restaurant.”

“This place had amazing breakfast!! Great service, too. Everything tasted outstanding, exactly what I hope for when I go to breakfast. Coffee was good, price was good, and the service was good, too. The environment was great, they were talking to each other like a family would, it was amusing. I would've given it 5 stars, but there were too many flies buzzing around. (I have returned many times since and no more flies, at all) there aren't many great places for bfast around here, but thank goodness this place is open. It can be cold in there so make sure Mom brings her jacket”

“My husband and I ordered take out this evening. The staff is friendly and welcoming which is hard to find in a small town. After hearing about the good food for over a year we decided to give it a try. We ordered the chicken Alfredo and side salads. The Salad was so refreshing. I didn’t expect more then lettuce. No these salads had beans and beets bacon crumbles the best tasting ranch. I mean the amount of dill in it was enough to make me want to return and get more. Then we have the Alfredo. The portion was big. We probably could have shared. The flavor was out of this world the depth of each ingredient I could taste it all. Nothing was over cooked. The chicken was moist and the garlic bread was perfect. Hands down the best Alfredo I’ve come across in a few years. You’ve earned yourself two satisfied customers who will be eating here again.”

“Everything I've eaten has been delicious. My all time favorite is the "Hot Mama" pizza. Their pizza crust is perfect, the burgers are beyond the ordinary burgers you get in other places. I've had several meals from the menu and never disappointed. The Ole Merc is not a 'run of the mill' restaurant, it's special and so worth the visit. The prices are fair as well.”
