Just had lunch there with my sister. Everything was great but my favorite was the brisket, pork ribs and sausage. Owner talks to his customers and was really nice. Staff forgot our beef rib, we told them about it, they apologized and owner gave us a large piece. The place could have been more bigger with more seats and tables, end of the line was already by the cashier. Other than that, the experience was great. Will be back for more.
The proteins and sides were really good, and I think this place really captures that Southern style of BBQ from ordering your food to sitting down in a way other BBQ restaurants in the area can’t figure out. My only complaint was that I wish the BBQ sauce had a little more heat, but I’ll definitely be back.
The BBQ brisket and pork ribs were okay. They are dry and not as tender as we would hoped. The ribs weren’t fall-off-the-bone. The spicy sausage had a great smokey flavour. The collard greens were delicious and everyone should try them. The cornbread was just average. We drove all over Texas, Las Vegas and California just for BBQ. We had better BBQ elsewhere.
