As opposed to a 'Cafe' I would call this a concessions stand and that of the library. The only people allowed to sit are library customers. Not a problem as I have a National card. But then they went and closed early? Obviously not a chain or anything, yet a Mom & Pop like thing probably grandfathered into the library. Weird. Nice staff and really mediocre food. Like microwaved like.

I was shocked at how the owner handled a customer with a mental health issue today. She and her cashier immediately escalated the situation, and within a minute threatened to call the police if the man failed to pay 25 cents for a plastic fork he had asked for (that the owner had kept in her grip) or leave. Eventually I inserted myself into the situation, and within a minute the man was gone. All I did was firmly, but nicely, ask him to leave. When the owner thanked me, I told her she wasn't being kind, and she protested, assuring me of her kindness, even though I watched the entire exchange. (Threatening to call the police because someone asks why a plastic fork is 25 cents is not kind in my book.) The food was fine-a place I would have normally rated 3 stars. The grilled cheese had bread and cheese on it. Nothing special. I'd skip to go someplace with a little more flavor and kindness to people in the middle of a crisis. I definitely won't be coming back.

This place is located inside the same building the houses the Folsom Public Library. I have been here before but I have to admit it was only to grab a Gunther's ice cream after leaving the library. Today, after returning a book, I stopped into Einstein's as I was hungry. I ordered a pastrami sandwich on sourdough. It was surprisingly good. The bread was toasted and the sandwich was larger than I expected. There are about eight tables. The staff are typically young, pleasant and personable and the prices are reasonable. I guess it's time to go up and order an ice cream.

Delicious sandwiches, great customer service and perfect selection of snacks and treats for when I am studying at the library.

What a gem of a cafe! I stopped in here after taking my kids to Folsom Zoo , I wish we had eating lunch here instead of getting an overpriced tiny corn dog at the zoo Snack Shack! They have a Espresso Bar, serve Gunther's Ice Cream (17 flavors), make fresh Gourmet Sandwiches for about $7, have some baked goodies like you would find at a coffee shop, and what is more a nice air-conditioned Lounge area to enjoy your food in. We got some ice cream and a coffee, the scoop prices for ice cream are great. It was $2.85 for a small kids scoop, dollar more for a regular size. The cafe is attached to the library, but can be accessed independently. I will definitely come here next time we go to the zoo!

Ask Hannah for the veggie sandwich with the works, you won't be disappointed! It is definitely the best veggie sandwich in town! Not only that, but they are so nice there! I didn't know what I wanted to order, but they had no problem taking time to help me decide, giving me several recommendations and answering all of the questions I had. Be sure to also try the taro ice cream if you want a sweet treat! A+

A small cafe in the building of the Folsom Library. Has a variety of snacks. Very conveniently located for library patrons.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Super friendly service with a great menu. It was really nice to stop in after going to the zoo and grab a bite with the kids. Sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather. To top it all off we got some ice cream! Can't wait to go back. Definitely stop in if you are at the park, library or zoo and treat yourself!!!

Oh my gosh this Cafe is so cute. It's right next to the library. The Food is amazing and the ice cream is to die for. We came to visit family and they recommended this place. Can't wait to go back and have some of there yummy ice cream. Everything we had at this place was amazing. Not to mention the kids menu was just perfect for our kids they loved it (and their picky eaters too.) I recommend everyone to try this place and the staff is so kind and friendly. I just wish there was a place like this close to our home.

I work often at Folsom Library and this is my first time ordering food here. I have 30 minutes for lunch so thought instead of running somewhere else, I'd save time and try it out. I arrived at about 11:30 and ordered a veggie wrap. The counter clerk kindly told me it would be a "couple minutes" and that there were some orders ahead of mine. About 25 minutes later I still did not have my simple veggie wrap. The place is small and while considered "busy" there really weren't that many people there. I also noticed that the person making the veggie wraps was cutting the veggies as each order was placed. (Just a suggestion: perhaps have staff cut veggies early in the morning ahead of time to make it go faster for customers.) I told the staff my break was almost over and I needed to go. Several minutes later, when I indicated I now only had 4 minutes left on my lunch break and I really needed to go, I was asked (in a not-so-friendly-tone) if I just wanted my money back. I opted for my food so I wouldn't go hungry the rest of the day. When they finally had it ready, it was handed to me with an apology but no eye contact and almost as if I had put them out. When I ate the wrap, it wasn't very flavorful. Won't be ordering food here again. It's quicker to drive 1 mile and come back.
