Got my favorite teriyaki chicken and rice plate last week and it was awesome as usual. The portions at Ono are great. More than helping and more than satisfying. Quick and friendly service with reasonable prices for the amount you get. If you haven't tried Ono Hawaiian BBQ after all these years today is a good day to be curious.
Food is good and fast. People that greet you and give you your food are OK. Not rude but don't care that you're there either.

Based on the reviews, Ono Hawaiian BBQ serves delicious food with generous portions, such as the Hawaiian chicken cooked to perfection. The mini size is a full meal, and the normal size has extra to take home. The atmosphere is nice, and the restaurant is fully decked out for Christmas and very clean, with tables, condiment bar, soda fountain, and restroom all shiny and stocked. However, the restaurant is often packed, and the wait is numbing and obscene, sometimes up to 40 minutes. Orders are made and handed out randomly, and the musubi are very non-uniformed. There is often only 1 chef, so the food follows Hawaiian time and is not rushed. It is recommended to place an order online and show up 30 minutes later. Overall, the food is great and fresh, but the service is slow.
