Best Mexican bakery I've come across in SoCal. We have bought different kinds of breads here and every piece tastes fresh and delicious. No rancid after taste nor days-old crumbly bread. The only bad thing is that it's 50 miles away so we only stop by when soccer games take us to Fontana.

Tell me why I paid over $9 for 7 Mexican breads, and the older couple in front of me had a platter well over 10 breads and they paid $6? My breads were nothing Fancy., Just regular concha,s couple of piggies and some horns. I should have said something. Maybe it's because I'm not a regular there and they took advantage of it. Not honest business in my opinion.

Short answer:-1 star: Cashier rolled her eyes as I asked for the price of their tamales -1 star: I asked her for 2 beef and 2 chicken. She gave me 3 chicken and one beef-1 star: Tamales were super sloppy! They looked very gross. But man, I'm broke and can't be throwing food away and I was starving. -1 star: They charge $1 to use your card for paymentStorySo I woke up looking forward to tasting their tamales and sweet bread b/c I'm trying to find a place to buy a large order for Christmas. I really don't care if I greeted hen I enter an establishment, but it's rude to roll your eyes when a customer is asking questions about your products. The price of their tamales would determine how many I'd be buying b/c I also wanted to try their champurrado. So when I asked her how much was each tamal and how much for 4 tamales, the cashier rolled her eyes at me as if I were annoying her. Frankly, at that moment it didn't bother me since I just wanted to get what I need and get out. When I got home and was serving my family and realized the cashier had given me the wrong amount of tamales that I had originally asked for. Needless to say, this really annoyed me. She's not a teenager working ata fast food restaurant. Their champurrado is insipid and their tamiles super sloppy to their point of looking disgusting. If I were so broke I would've thrown them away. The flavor was actually not bad, but I was already annoyed and disgusted, so I can't say that I enjoyed them. Anyhow, I'm glad I didn't spend a whole lot at that establishment. And whenever I want a sweet treat, I will instead go over to the delicious and friendly donut shop right across from the parking lot and support that family owned business where they don't roll their eyes at me and hand me sloppy food and the wrong order.

I been here a few times, the pan dulce didn't taste and looked fresh..it was dry.The males were old, way over cooked from reheating every day.I gave it another shot and purchased a champurado, it was flavorless.Next time I will just to go to Cardenas.

Lately, I've been on a chocolate chip cookie hunt and trying out cookies from different bakeries. My sister recommended the cookies from here. I purchased one cookie to try. From the outside, there were many mini chocolate chips embedded in the cookie. In terms of texture, the cookie was definitely crunchy rather than chewy or soft. A single cookie cost 50 cents, which is very affordable! The employee, who assisted me was very nice. All their other baked goods seemed tempting, too. This cookie wasn't my favorite, but it was definitely an affordable option.

This is one of the few places that has fresh made mexican bread daily and is run by the same owner from the bakery next to Los Portales on Central, in Montclair. Good bread, great service and delicious mexican drinks.
