The Pepperoni Nirvana is exactly that… nirvana. Perfectly cooked, insanely flavorful, and consistently delicious. And their homemade ranch? I’m convinced it could be its own beverage. I’d happily drink it with a straw.

When you’re in Forestville and craving pizza, Sonoma Pizza Co. is it — truly the best (and only) pizza joint in town, and for good reason.
🍕 What works • The pizza is consistently — uniformly — excellent. The 12-inch pies are smallish but the crust and toppings are absolutely on point: naturally leavened, cold-fermented dough that yields great flavor and texture. • The team behind it — Chris and his crew — really know their craft. The care that goes into dough, ingredients, and wood-fired cooking makes each pizza feel handmade and special.  • Their lunch sandwiches (when available) show they’re thinking beyond just pizza — essentially folding good-quality ingredients into pizza dough, and delivering really solid results. • They offer a nice selection of local wines (and other drinks), which matches the general vibe of being in wine country. • Dining onsite — especially on their outdoor patio or garden under the redwoods — is a lovely experience when the weather’s good. The ambiance feels comfortable: casual, relaxed, and welcoming.
⚠️ What could be better / what to know • Because they focus on quality — good dough, local ingredients, wine selection — it’s not the cheapest pizza around. • The staff often does a great job, but at times they seem a bit stretched thin (especially when busy), which can slow things down. • While take-out is absolutely an option and we take advantage of it ourselves, the place really shines if you sit down — that’s where the kitchen, atmosphere, and service come together best.
🎯 My take: more than just “good pizza” — it’s a local staple
For a small town like Forestville, Sonoma Pizza Co. delivers far more than “adequate.” Whether we eat in or take out, it’s our go-to for a reliably excellent pie. If you want a casual but thoughtfully made pizza (or sandwich) — and maybe a glass of wine — it hits the sweet spot every time.
