i’m giving a two star because the drinks were good but the food was bad. the michelada was too overpriced, they charged us $16 for one. the beans were way too plain and rice tasted a little dry. i got the 3 combination of shrimp, diabla garlic and bacon. it was very bad compared to other restaurants i’ve been to in humboldt. the shrimp were very over cooked and the diabla one was actually undercooked.. slimy and raw. that plate was nearly $30. i probably won’t go again.

We ordered the molcajeta, I always share because it's usually a lot. It was good.
I only gave one star, and that was because to post my review it made me make a selection. I had been extremely eager to try the food and feel the atmosphere of this new place, untill I had my first encounter with the owner Juan Valdez. He was extremely rude, arrogant, and degrading towards me and a few other bystanders. There were a few more encounters and all of which he acted the same and worse. His demeanor, behavior, and exstream lack of respect or concern for others has made it so I will never support his restaurant by even stepping through the front door. Food, Flavor and half faked smiles on the employees is not all what it takes to have and run a successful small local business. This is just my opinion!!!

The food was fast and hot, but plates wery cold. And food was very Americanized. No hot sauce on any table should have been my first sign. The restaurant looks like a Mexican grocery store stock room when you walk in. And the prices are just a bit higher than fair for the quality. With Fortuna being filled with Mexican restaurants, I don't think I would choose to eat here again.
