A local favorite. Please don't go here before 7pm. I'm kidding, sort of. The wait can be wild on busy nights, but I love taking friends from out of town here.

We have been coming to KH for years, decades! The quality and authenticity of yakitori is just legit. All parts of the chicken is used and grill to perfection. Try them all, maybe in a few visits to you will be able to taste all the skewers! you will not be disappointed. When you enter KH, you are transported into the land of Japan and you will enjoy this ride so much, you might plan your next trip to the actual country of Japan. Enjoy this little trip to one of the best izakaya in the OC.

Kappo Honda Sushi offers an extensive menu with diverse options and impressively fast service. The cozy ambiance is perfect for intimate gatherings, but it might be cramped for larger groups. The mini grilled lamb chops are a standout, although the udon tends to be slightly salted. Be prepared for a potential wait, as the restaurant doesn't take reservations.

I don’t know what happened to the quality of the food at this place, but it's a complete 180-degree change since last yr. Cheap burnt beef skewers of 4 tiny pieces of $7! Charge for 1 Oz of Pogue sauce! Obsured!Pieces of Chicken Fat fried sesame( with No Sesame) along with tasteless rice & some blob of watered potatoes salad & pale tasteles salad!Needless to say ( peasant food)! I could've gotten better quality food from Panda Express!

An excellent place for Japanese food, all the dishes we ordered are delicious and have a different flavor. Very friendly attention at all times. I recommend it yes or yes.

No Japanese chef. Mostly, Mexican staff. I expect that; when I eat Mexican food. Overcooked steak. Cheap (Not Japanese) teriyaki glaze. Improperly prepared tempura, was gummy. Luke-warm miso soup. Quality has definitely gone Down ⬇️ and the price: Doubled! ⛔ Not the best experience. Used to be a good restaurant. Must be a new owner. ?⚠️ It used to be, when I would go to most good Japanese restaurants, that they would greet me in Japanese, and say thank you, in Japanese. And, bow. Not here.

The pandemic has been awhile now. I remembered back in 2021 after the pandemic and places were opening up again. The beef tongue Yakitori was about $3.25 and the premium beef was $2.25. Talk about 3-4 small pieces of meat on a skewer and that’s reasonable. Since then, the beef tongue Yakitori went up to $4 and now recently $5+ for 4 pieces. I have never noticed any restaurant keep increasing prices like crazy in such short time. I’m sure it does not cost more to make the same things. It is ridiculous ! Just remember we get a full meal that fill up our stomach for $15 or $14 for AYCE Korean BBQ Happy Hour with a large selection of variety. Now, that’s worth it. I don’t think it’s worth it to eat at Kappo anymore being overly charged.I might have to quit Kappo Honda or eat once a year for their ridiculously increasing price yearly or every few months.
