It was pretty good! I'm not a tai food person. It tends to be way too spicy, or almost no spice at all! There was a lot of ginger flavor, (fresh ginger) but not much else to balance it out! The steak wasn't bad for what it was, but again not thrilled with spices. They were very watered down tasting. And wasn't a good balance for me. But again, I'm not a Thai connoisseur! Also veggies were overcooked for me. I ordered Steak that came with rice and veggies . Veggies were on the soft side and rice was a wet paste. The bottom half of the container looked like a clear thick paste. You couldn't see any rice grains. I think this food was edible and pretty healthy. But way over prepared and bland. I hate writing these kinds of reviews .. but maybe they will change it and help their business! I would try this at a different time. But I would be prepared to change it and fix it up.Dietary restrictions: Low fat if ordering non fried foods.

I ordered from this place for pickup, the place said they were open till 3 (their open sign was still on too) and when I got there at 2:45 the doors were locked, nobody would let me in (I stood there for like 10 minutes) and nobody answered the phone. I had to leave the area as I was done doing what else I had to do there and I called them when they reopened later that day asking for my money back since I couldn’t get my food. The lady on the phone gaslit me, said she was there the whole time and wouldn’t give me my money back. Extremely rude and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Very bad attention, I wanted to go in to eat and they wouldn't let me in because I have a service dog. This never happens to me anywhere.

I was craving Asian food and looked up a place in the area close enough for a drive down PCH afterwards. I'm really happy that I tried Mai Thai Restaurant for the first time. We ordered the Glass Noodle Salad minus the shrimp and the Pepper Steak with garlic.First off, the glass noodle salad was super tasty! Don't let being a salad fool you this thing packs flavor with zestiness. It reminded me of a Mexican ceviche with all the ingredients coming together. Next, the pepper steak and veggies with garlic noodles all packed with a seasoned flavor of spice. Not too much and not too little. I didn't ask about making it spicier so next time I will see.Happy eats!

Good place to have Thai food, clean, good customer service. Crab fried rice is very good, large portion. One thing scares me about Thai food is some places prepare it too sweet or too greasy. Not at all at Mai Thai. Nice people. I am glad it is in my neighborhood

As a Thai citizen, Beef boat noodle here is very authentic. The broth is so tasty and smell so good as well. It's a must!

Great food and for the value is a bonus. Green curry and yellow curry are delicious. Egg rolls and spicy sauce round out our dinner.

Mai Thai is undoubtedly a local gem! Every visit feels like a culinary journey to Thailand. Their Pad Thai is nothing short of exceptional -- a delightful medley of flavors and the perfect texture. Whether you're a Thai cuisine aficionado or trying it for the first time, Mai Thai will not disappoint. Highly recommend!

This place makes the best Thai Beef Noodle Soup, period !!!!! Fresh and tender slices of beef, cooked with soup full of spices ?Mai Thai also makes very nice Thai Tea and Pad Thai (we took away leftover, still tasty the next day)

We used to go here all the time as a family, but for the past year, we realized that the customer service was far from pleasant. However, my mother still loved the food and so we decided to do takeouts instead just to avoid sitting in and getting upset at the lack of hospitality. There's been multiple times where they forgot to put something in the bag whenever we did takeout, but we would call to inform them. They would either give us credit for next time or allow us to pick up the forgotten item. On multiple occasions, they would also add peanuts to dishes when we specifically told them not to. (I'm thankful none of us have peanut allergies, but you can see why this is a concerning, recurring mistake on their part.) I feel like in that sense we were being very lenient with the fact that it kept on happening. The other day, though, they forgot our rice and we realized after getting home. My mother was definitely upset, especially since the dishes were spicy and really needed the rice for the meal to work. She called them to let them know, and the worker said that she could drive back to get it. My mother said to her that driving there fifteen minutes and then fifteen minutes back for just rice was not worth it, and then asked to add credit under our name next time we ordered instead. The worker sarcastically said that they would put TWO DOLLARS under her name for next time since that's how much the rice cost. It's worth noting that it really isn't about the money-- it's the fact that we've been inconvenienced multiple times and we were loyal customers; we hoped that the worker would make more of an effort to show that they were sorry about the mistake instead of replying so callously. My mother was VERY upset at that point and the call didn't end well. After that, we just tried to enjoy the meal. That's when we opened one of the dishes to see that once again they added peanuts when we specifically asked for them not to. Livid, my mother tried calling them again, but they rudely did not answer because they probably recognized the phone number. I don't usually like writing reviews like this, but we've been eating here for years (I grew up eating at this restaurant) and now I wish we hadn't after the first few times we had issues with their service. Food is good, but they clearly don't care about their customers.

Updating to show some pics of what we brought home! As per usual the food was good and the service was amazing this time. While I waited for my take out order I had a beer!
