Excellent spot for breakfast. Great food, even better service. Been going there for years and even after moving to CO, I still make it a point to come when I'm down

I arrived to find they only accept cash or Venmo. I had debt or credit cards on me. That's the reason for the low rating. I will return on a later date with cash.

I have never been disappointed after eating here. This has become my go to for classic American diner food over the past year. The portion sizes are perfect, the prices are more than fair, and the staff is always friendly and quick. After trying nearly their whole breakfast menu I would recommend their chili cheese omelette or their pancakes.

It was my first time coming here for brunch. The service was amazing! Everyone was so nice and helpful. We got seated right away. I got the chefs choice. Chicken fried steak. It was great. I'm not a gravy fan but eating the fried chicken steak with the gravy was so delicious. The scrambled eggs wasn't overcooked. Everything tasted amazing. My friend got the blueberry pancake. It also tasted really good. The blueberry wasn't chunky and was mixed well into the batted. The place wasn't crowded when we came. The atmosphere here was friendly and you don't feel overwhelmed. Overall I would I would recommend coming here for brunch

Mel's is truly a locals hometown diner. It has an easygoing, friendly atmosphere with excellent service! There was just one server and a "busboy," but they worked well as a team. I say "busboy" because it is such a limiting term. He did everything and anything that needed to be done. As for regular customers: one gentleman was seated maybe 5 minutes after my husband and I. Five minutes later, he had food while we were still waiting. Jokingly, I said, "How does that work?" He said,"Sometimes they have it ready before I can get in my seat." He also gave me a hot tip: on the weekends, they have homemade cinnamon rolls. BUT, you have to get here early before they're sold out. I have heard of the Legend of the Cinnamon Rolls. I have yet to make it on the weekend, but I highly recommend you try. As far as my order, I'm not real exciting...eggs, toast, bacon. It's a good thing I have, my husband. Today, he had corned beef hash. It was crispy, crunchy, and "really good." The highest compliment from my husband. So, if you find yourself in the area, the menu is above. This will be one of my new go-to restaurants for breakfast.

Been here a few times now. Maybe my favorite breakfast place. It's an old school cafe with the ambiance and great service to go with it. The waitress I had was perfect like right out of Central Casting which is totally cool! I like Cafe Cup in HB but this place has biscuits and gravy. The country fries are great, neither hash browns nor chunky home fries but kind of a cross between the two, more shredded than chunky, though, and flavorful. The country gravy is perfect on them. The sausages are cooked as ordered, I've yet to try the bacon but that's next. I tried the chorizo and eggs and it was delicious but you have pay extra for cheese. This isn't a Mexican restaurant but their red salsa is great and they'll bring it with any dish on request. Next I'll have to try a burger or sandwich or whatever. Nothing so far has ever disappointed.

This place is amazing, hands down my favorite breakfast place! Everything about this place is awesome, the staff, the food, there's ample parking, the service, the ambiance, and I could go on and on! Heads up, they accept cash and venmo only so just keep that in mind for the next time you go! Also, the homemade cinnamon rolls are only served on the weekend but they're the best I've ever had! Don't miss out on this place!!

Place was packed but my chicken fried steak came out in less than 5 minutes and it was the best cfs I've ever had. A real sirloin with homemade batter. Very clean place and the service was phenomenal. Will be coming back when I'm in the

9:10 am Sat 12/23/23. Easy seating at the counter. $18 NY steak & eggs was excellent. $3.50 fountain soda (free refills). Their weekdays breakfast specials look to be bargain values, will be back to try those.

I've been eating here, literally for decades, and it has always been good. Be aware it's cash or venmo. But otherwise, this is a quiet home town eatery with excellent meals.
