Nest Omasake on the West coast. Everything is superior, no words to describe them.
The master chef Yoshi and employees are super nice. Definitely will come again.

Had an excellent lunch here as a work function, and the service and food was just excellent and felt so authentic and high quality. The place does not have any signs so it’s hard to find if you’re not paying attention, and seating is a bit tight but other than that you’re in for a great experience equal to fine dining. My pics are from the omakase offering.

The service does not meet the standard for a dinner of $200+ per person. The food was very good but not great. disappointed

Tasty fish! We enjoyed the Momoyama omakase. It came with new nigiri we haven't tried including Threeline Grunt, and Striped Jack. The 0'Toro was also tasty. Sea bass soup was very flavorful. One of my favorite dishes was baby squid. We will be back Dec/Jan when bonito is in season!

I had such a great birthday dinner here. The Michelin starred restaurant has great selection of food/fish. Each dish was very delicious and the presentation was great and creative.I was impressed by how they made sorbet with shiso leaf. That’s my new obsession. They selected best fish and ingredients. The server was very friendly and attentive. He explained about food/dish every time he served to us as well as the sushi chef. The ambiance was very nice. Lastly, I finally got a chance to try Masumi sake!Best sushi restaurant in OC. Highly recommended.

The place is very non-descript. You have to park and get out of the car to see the signage. We really enjoyed the momoyama courses. You can tell chef has laid out the courses starting from delicate and incrementally build up to heavier flavor as the course goes on. In addition to the food itself, we enjoyed our conversations with the chefs.IMO. It’s Michelin star experience without the pretenseWe will be back!

The quality of food is really good! Every course has layers of taste! The portion is big too and I'm very full after 19 courses from starter to dessert!

We were amazed to find this gem near us. There’s no sign out front, and it’s omakase only with two options, at least the night we went. The uni was from Santa Barbara and one fish was from Spain, otherwise all the fish was from Japan. I believe the server said the fish from Japan comes to their restaurant within 2 days of being caught there, and all was very flavorful and seemed very fresh. The toro was as good and maybe even better than the toro we had when we actually were in Japan last year. There was a nice selection of fish overall, with equally nice presentations and full explanations with each serving. All the dishes were delicious. Even the soups were immaculate and complex. The sake selection was good. We fully plan on coming back with friends.

I made the journey here for my birthday as a lovely treat to myself, and every bite was as good as the last. Each of the staff members was tenative and patient teaching me about each fish and where they were sourced from.
I had the 50 dollar lunch omakase, and the best bite, in my opinion, was the delightful fatty tuna. Not to say the rest wasn't great, I just enjoyed that one the best.
Would gladly come back for special occasions and enjoy the wonderful service again.
