The place is very non-descript. You have to park and get out of the car to see the signage. We really enjoyed the momoyama courses. You can tell chef has laid out the courses starting from delicate and incrementally build up to heavier flavor as the course goes on. In addition to the food itself, we enjoyed our conversations with the chefs.IMO. It’s Michelin star experience without the pretenseWe will be back!

We were amazed to find this gem near us. There’s no sign out front, and it’s omakase only with two options, at least the night we went. The uni was from Santa Barbara and one fish was from Spain, otherwise all the fish was from Japan. I believe the server said the fish from Japan comes to their restaurant within 2 days of being caught there, and all was very flavorful and seemed very fresh. The toro was as good and maybe even better than the toro we had when we actually were in Japan last year. There was a nice selection of fish overall, with equally nice presentations and full explanations with each serving. All the dishes were delicious. Even the soups were immaculate and complex. The sake selection was good. We fully plan on coming back with friends.

I came for the omakase lunch. for the amount of delicious food you get, the price is reasonable. The flavors are spectacular!
Thoughtful, delicious pieces of sushi. Staff courteous, chef is nice, seems relaxed, and has a good sense of humor. My only small critique was the uni was served too cold. Ambiance wise, the lights are too bright for it to be truly romantic. And by the end of the night my clothes and hair smelled of fried oil.

Fair warning, the restaurant does not have great signage.We came for lunch and we were the only ones in the restaurant (lucky us!). The waiter who served us was very attentive and nice. Everything we ate tasted super fresh and was full of flavor. I always love when sushi chefs tell you what type of fish you are eating and where it is from; they did not disappoint! The meal was expensive but after tasting the high quality ingredients it completely makes sense. If you enjoy a completely unique sushi experience this is your place.

我們無需太懂事，不想做的事，可以拒絕， 不想聽的話， 可以假裝沒聽見，真的不用勉強自己， 我們的人生不該是討好別人， 而該是善待自己～日式的omakase, 生魚片到底好不好吃， 除了魚的新鮮度之外， 最重要的還是師傅的手法， 刀功，如何讓生魚片每一片的切口完美， 上桌之後還要保持彈性，就是師傅的真功夫了， 當然， 醋飯捏的是否紮實，不會過緊或過鬆直接影響口感，也是另一個重要因素， 差點忘記放去年來的這家日料， 跟很多日本料理一樣， 招牌就是讓你看不見， 我在前面開過來開過去，開過來，開過去，一直到朋友打給我說， 到底要不要停下來，他在門口都看我來回很多次了，晚上， 老灰呀真的看不清楚呀， 年輕的師傅說他們開幕時剛好 Covid 才剛剛開始， 所以撐過了很艱難的一段時間， 現在生意不錯， 真的是艱辛的過程， 真的要有兩把小刷子，能夠在這種時間還能撐下來，不過提醒大家，這家只有omakase ， 沒有單點的菜色歐～
