Simple food is simply the best food! The gyoza was made with love and soo tasty, and the pan-fried crispy side was perfection! The tonkatzu was crispy and juicy! Perfect to dredge through the sweet and spicy curry ? ? I ate it all! The servers were really friendly, and the atmosphere was fun with Japanese pop music playing. The place just needed one more thing, you! Go check it out and bring some friends!

Had lunch with a friend today.
We shared an original tonkatsu ramen and a chicken katsu.
Katsu was ok, the pork from the tonkatsu tasted and smelled disgusting, I ate a piece and had to stop eating because I was feeling as if things were crawling on me - that’s how bad it was.
In addition the waiter was inattentive and rude.

I came here craving curry while my partner wanted sushi, and our usual place wasn't possible today.
The food was good, but unexpectedly high in price. I ordered the vegetable curry and asked if it was possible to add a chicken katsu cutlet as well - they said sure. I thought this was going to be an additional $5-$7 for the add-on like other places I frequent, but they charged me $12.50 for the regular katsu appetizer. My fault for not asking, but that feels a little ridiculous. The chicken katsu curry was $13.50, and if I had known I would've just ordered two orders of curry and taken one home for $1 more. The vegetable curry I also expected to be a classic veggie curry, usually a good amount of potatoes, carrots, and onions. Instead, there was exactly one piece each of pumpkin squash, eggplant(?), a broccoli floret, and I believe carrot. A basic curry and rice was something like $9.50, so I paid nearly $0.50 per vegetable slice. Again, the food was good but for the price??... No thanks.
Knowing what I know now, I might go back when I'm craving something specific and my usual places aren't an option, but I'm definitely going to avoid certain items on the menu and any adjustments, as I expect it will cost an arm and a leg.

I visited Munchie-Ken Japanese Ramen for lunch and ordered the sushi set. The sushi was fresh and well-prepared, and the price was quite reasonable. The place is clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, it's a solid option for a quick lunch.
I recommend it if you're in the area and craving Japanese food.

I don't know why this place isn't busier. Everything about our experience was perfect. I ate the Japanese Scallop Garlic Butter Ramen. I'm usually a tonkatsu eater, but I'm very glad I got what I did. It was delicious! I've eaten from many different ramen places, including some of the best in NYC and LA. This might be the best I've had in Orange County and in much of LA. They have so many different options as well, so you can get whatever you are in the mood for. They also have great options for kids and the prices are very reasonable.
The service was outstanding. Hiro knew the menu well and was very friendly. He even brought our kid over to play a raffle for a toy.
This will be my go-to ramen place for a while.
Parking: Plenty of spaces
Kid-friendliness: They have a good kids menu. Our server Hiro was great with kids.

Shrimp ramen and the scallop special are amazing. I am shocked and the depth of flavor from the seafood based broths. This will be a regular for us. And 1/2 off beer for happy hour!
