If I go to the South Coast Plaza, I'm also going to Philly's Best. They have the best cheesesteak on the West Coast IMO. My go to is the Classic Cheesesteak with raw onions and I get the hot peppers on the side. I also get half onion rings and half fries. The guys that work there are very nice and accommodating. The restaurant is clean. What surprised me today is they switched from Wise potato chips to Herrs. I am a Jersey girl, I was expecting Wise because I wanted the Garlic and Onion chips. I know Herrs is a Philly brand and just as good. They didn't have Peanut Chews either. It wasn't a big deal because I was really there for the cheesesteak which did not disappoint. I know they have a cheesesteak joint in K-Town, which I do visit every now and then because they are closer to me, but they always leave me wishing it was Philly's Best!

The bread is the real star of the show, texture is amazing. Portion size is huge. I got the Philly's best. Fillings tasted a little lacking on quality, freshness, and flavor. Fries were a little mushy.

We have loved this Philly's Best location ever since we moved out to the West Coast...it is so nice to have a familiar food option, that tastes "just like home" Over the years, we've come to love more than just the food here... Perez, the head cook, is a master at the grill! He's a hard-working, dedicated employee who really puts his all into his work... And you can taste it in the food he makes, he really puts his heart and soul into it! If you want delicious hot subs(or cold!) and/or the world's most incredible onion rings(the kind that you can bite through instead of pulling the whole onion out in the first bite!), then give them a try and you won't be disappointed! Make sure to say hi to Perez and you'll have a friend for life

Having never had real Philly cheesesteaks, I can't comment on authentic taste, BUT I can say their cheesesteaks are delicious! My husband always gets the Philly's Best Beef and I get the Philly's Best Chicken. Oh, the onion rings are really good too, very crispy.

Employee Johnnie on the cash register was really helpful when helping me order. I hadn't ever been to this establishment before so he had recommended me the Nashville hot chicken cheese sandwich which was by far the best sandwich I've had in a while, he had also recommended I try the onion rings with that which were also superb. Highly recommend this exact order that I had recommended to me by their employee.
His place is the bomb. I love it. The cook there is the best. Super nice always a good food.
