Service can be more friendlier and welcoming. Food is good but a bit pricey for the quality. I ordered for pick up twice and there was always something incorrect with my orders. Plus, they dont honor the $5.00 coupon that they give you unless you order online.

I came in for a Sunday afternoon solo dinner and was seated promptly. I believe my server’s name was Annie and she was so sweet!
I ordered the 5-set and crispy rice tartare. I don’t have a whole lot of experience with handrolls but these hit all the right notes for me. The fish tasted fresh and all iterations of the rolls were seasoned/flavored just enough so the fish wasn’t overpowered. My favorites were the salmon and blue crab. The crispy rice tartare, with a topping of salmon/tuna/yellowtail, was also lovely. All the textures were so satisfying.
I’d totally come again to try some of the more premium options!

We went for the 7-piece handroll set menu and added an order of fries. Let me just say this: do not skip the fries. Crispy, flavorful, and unexpectedly addictive, they were one of the highlights of the meal. The handrolls themselves were fresh, well-balanced, and filling enough that by the end, we were happily stuffed.
The service deserves a mention too. Since everything is prepared right in front of you at the bar, the rolls come out quickly and at peak freshness. The staff kept things moving smoothly without rushing the experience.
As for the ambiance, the bar-style seating sets the tone: casual, lively, and great for sharing a meal side by side. It’s not the type of spot for private conversations, but it’s perfect if you want an engaging, social dining experience while watching your food being made.
Overall, Rol Handroll Bar lives up to the hype. Between the fresh handrolls, the must-try fries, and the energetic bar setting, it’s the kind of place I’ll definitely return to.

Make sure you have a card, because they don’t take cash….
Called them directly to order pick up (they have a promotion to call them directly to get $5 off) and wasn’t told they were cashless on the phone. I get there and had to leave the order because I didn’t have any cards on me. Went back home to get a debit card, went back, food was warm and they didn’t even take the $5 off after all that trouble of making the order through them as the promotion says. Horrible customer service will not be back.
P.s. The maki rolls look like the plain salmon went through a food processor instead of having chopped or minced it giving it a mushy paste like texture.

This is one of those spots where the food consistently delivers—flavorful, well-portioned, and clearly made with care. I’ve eaten at other handroll restaurants throughout LA/OC and this place holds its own every single time. The staff are kind and attentive, and the atmosphere in the perfect in-between of relaxed and refined. What really stands out is the consistency - every visit feels just as good (if not better) than the last. It’s the kind of restaurant you find yourself craving weeks later and coming back to without hesitation!
Leaving this review specifically because the gentleman who I believe was the manager provided excellent service, I arrive pretty close to closing time just because I wanted to try a roll. Ended up getting a set and the manager had made a few of them for us and I really appreciate the service he provided. It was Thursday night but I believe if I came on a weekend and after a few Sake’s I know it would have been an even better time.
The lunch set is an amazing value. You get four rolls, edamame, and miso soup for $15! The portion size is just enough to satisfy you, and the service is fast. If you come in hungry you won’t be for long. The quality of the fish was excellent, but I personally wasn’t a fan of the crab (though I usually am not a fan of crab salad-like textures). Overall this place is great for lunch, especially since quiet enough to hear a friend. This restaurant only has bar seating as a heads up!
The dragon fruit lychee lemonade was very refreshing and the color was very fun and striking! It’s good to know in advance that the lychee and lemonade itself is syrup based, though. On the positive side, their dragonfruit pulp is from the actual fruit!
Always amazing, I love taking family and friends from out of town here. I do wish they put in more effort in keeping behind the bar clean if it's a bar that we're facing. Also weird that you have to sit right next to other people at the bar even though all the seats are empty- can't even have one seat between parties. Def come on a weekday bc weekends are crazy packed
The food is great. Service is great. SUPER Small place, bar is the only spot available for seating.

I mean... It's KEI concepts.. What more can you ask for???
Such a great experience! Ordered via DoorDash, and called to note a sesame allergy. They were so patient and kind. And the food was good! Highly recommend.
The Toro & Truffle Premium Handroll stole the show! Most incredible hand roll we’ve ever had, so flavorful. All the handrolls we had were fresh and tasty; we’ll definitely be back.
