First visit today. Pretty far out of our way, but we’ll definitely be back. The food was fantastic. They do need to iron out some kinks. I could see everyone was working hard, but they were slammed and I overheard the owner say he wasn’t expecting so many people. I think they might’ve gotten a sudden bump from getting blown up on TikTok or something (that’s how we heard about it). I know they’ll work it out, and in the meantime the food was worth the wait.
The service and atmosphere was great. However, the food was meh. We ordered chicken tikka, the mac and cheese and butter chicken. I've had other Desi (indo-pak) barbeque in Fremont (won't mention the restaurant names out of courtesy, but iykyk) and it was muuuch more flavorful. There wasn't much flavor in the food here and the chicken tikka felt dry. The butter chicken could have been better and wasn't very sweet. The mac and cheese wasn't very saucy....
Just tried this place for the first time today and WOW!! Totally blown away by the quality of the food. Amazing flavors and beautiful presentation. Chef came out to check on us and would have complemented him but my mouth was full LOL. Total hidden gem of Hayward 10/10 would recommend!
