I’m a southerner in the Central Valley and Chef Paul’s is a comforting taste of home. The food is fantastic and the staff are very hospitable. Fried green tomatoes, okra, yam, cornbread… . You can’t go wrong.

So I've had several portions of Paul's catering..... I've eaten at his restaurant 3 times on invite. Now I've known this gentleman for Android cooking for 36 yrs..... worked along side of him and I know his capabilities..... first time I ate there it was fine..... second time just okay.... third time was just horrible and made me sick. His food (some) is pre cooked and pre bagged.... a lot of what you're eating is not homemade and comes out of cans. 4.6 is rather high for food thar is not from scratch...... I respect Paul amd but his quality continuously declines as the food is more resort style than homemade

Good soul food in Fresno's Chinatown. Owner and waitress were very nice and friendly. Lots of folks sharing and having a nice time. Plenty of street parking when we went for lunch on a Friday.

Our family visited Chef Pauls for a very nice and pleasurable dining experience. We were very nicely greeted by Chef Paul and Staff. Our server Marie was informative and very attentive and we had many good menu selections to choose from. We all had a wonderful experience and will definitely return again !! We got the smothered pork chops and they were absolutely delicious (collared greens were amazing. The chicken and waffle plate was great as well (chicken was nice and crispy). Full of flavor.

Real food served by people who care. Smothered pork chop, mashed potatoes and chili was a delight. Food like this is not served like this these days.
I loved the presentation of the food. I ordered fried chicken, rice, and cabbage. They put the rice and cabbage in individual containers. I hate soggy fried chicken so this got me up front. Presentation is everything! We eat with our eyes first!
