This location had huge portions of all our favorites! Staff was kind and helpful. It was a little hot inside, AC was off or not working.
I expected a better teriyaki sauce mine was water down
I ordered my food off doordash and it tastes like chemicals idk if you guys reuse/reheat chicken or use bad oil but the rice and chicken had a funny aftertaste that made it inedible i usually love chicken katsu

Based on the reviews, L&L Hawaiian BBQ is a simple neighborhood restaurant with huge portions, often enough for two meals and a snack. The chicken katsu is considered the best in Fresno, especially when the order is called in ahead for hot, fresh cooking with no heat lamps. However, quality is not consistent. Some visits have found the chicken katsu and rice tasting like chemicals or having a funny aftertaste, with the food cooked in old oil that is obvious by the smell and taste. The Mac salad is usually loved, but can sometimes be bland. The spam Musubi was tried once and never ordered again. The food is good and different than the norm, with the katsu chicken and sauce being good, and pot stickers being ok. Service is good and quick. The parking lot can be congested during lunch and dinner, as it is shared with four other businesses. The bathroom was dirty, with a toilet that did not flush.
