Love The Food! Love The Waiters!!

In the past, this place was awesome. They had the BEST guacamole around. Yesterday, my family went here because I was craving the guacamole. The food was disappointing (bland) but the worst part was the guacamole. The texture was like no guacamole I've ever had - my husband said he thought they'd blended up some type of bean in it to stretch the guacamole further. The bill was ridiculously high for the terrible food. I've been here many times in the past 10 years, but have to say it's been very disappointing the few times I've been in in the past year and won't be back.

A very friendly and helpful place to eat and very good food

This restaurant sucks. Thier prices are way to high ($16.95 for 3 Street tacos). The server, poor guy was over whelmed and so he never got me a refill on my drink. The kitchen took excessive amounts of time to serve our food. And in a town known for Mexican food, this was below par. The refried beans were good, but everything else was bland. Sad little place...even the art was bad, I don't think Mexico has elephants.

The server was not the best by far. Many mistakes were made with our order :1) they gave my daughter a cheese enchilada instead of beef, 2) taco shells were stale and when we let the server know he brought more tacos out also with stale shells, 3) it took 45 minutes to get a virgin margarita, we asked them to cancel it since we were leaving but was still charged for 2 when only 1 was ordered but never received !!! 4) We waited 20 minutes for drink refills after asking 3 times, still didn't get them so we had to find another waiter and 5) I asked for beans de la olla and received refried beans. Let the waiter know and it took 25 minutes to get them. I asked for a manager and was told no one was available. 6) just a personal note. When I ordered my beans de la olla the waiter didn't know what that meant or how they were cooked, I feel that if you work in a restaurant you should probably know your menu, how the food is prepared and specials of the day . 7) I asked for flan and never received it.

The food is very delicious. Good service. The prices are ok for the food portions.

I think this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Fresno. But you pay for the better food. They recently closed the one on W Shaw.
