Walked in for nothing in particular, just to look around. I was greeted and asked if I needed any help. I ended up just getting a few things here and there, one of their pasta salads prima vera with mozzarella, i believe was absolutely delicious.I also got a trio of canolis, that was very good. Can't wait to come back and explore some more.

I really like the place, and have gone on and off for 20 years, but the trend is smaller sandwiches and higher prices. Yes.... I know we are in CA. :-[ Three small sandwiches and one Cola, plus modest tip, outrageous CA taxes and the total was over $71. It will be a while before I return, as there are many other options in town.

This place is a Fresno classic. The sandwiches are always, fresh, packed quality ingredients, and a full of flavor. The deli has a great selection of Italian groceries, cheeses, and specialty items you don’t find at a regular stores. The staff is friendly, Services is quick but not the best , And that’s too bad because the food is so delicious.

I stopped here this last week while I was visiting family in town. I haven’t had an Italian Club sandwich from Sam’s in almost 20 years! I’m happy to report the sandwiches are just as good as I remember them being, although of course the prices have increased (but so has the price of everything else)
So many times I’ve gone back to a restaurant or deli after many years and have been disappointed in the quality. Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but Sam’s still hits the mark after all this time.
I also picked up some olives, bread, and Parmesan cheese for a cheese board and I have to say I thought the prices were very fair for the quality of the products (about the same or a bit cheaper than Whole Foods).
The service wasn’t as friendly as I remember it being, but maybe it was an off day, we are all allowed to have those.
I look forward to visiting when I am in town again and I’m excited to see how the future Riverpark locations turns out!
