A must visit every time I come home to Fresno! The pozole is so good and the tomazole is the best combination of both worlds (tamale and pozole) I generally go for the tamales and pozole, but I recently tried the chicken enchiladas and they were good too. Staff is very friendly and patient with new and old customers.

Tamale Mama makes the best tamales I've ever had! They are moist and have a hardy amount of meat! The flavors are mouthwatering!
I purchased one dozen of the chicken ones and a side of beans and rice! The prices are very reasonable and the service for pickup was fast and easy!
I wasn't able to get a pic of them unwrapped honestly they got eaten too fast 😅 No time!
I highly recommend visiting here I am going to try their pozole next!

I visited Mama Tamale and was quite disappointed. I ordered a Ruben burrito, enchiladas, and a tamale plate. As someone experienced with Mexican food, I found the tamale to be okay, but everything else lacked flavor. The dishes could have been better, but the hostess who took my order was very rude and dismissive when I asked questions about the menu. I visited twice in a row: one day I had soup, and the next day I ordered the tamale plate, Ruben burrito, and enchiladas. Unfortunately, I won't be returning due to the hostess's poor attitude and poor customer service. However, another young man who assisted us was very friendly and attentive; he checked in with us and was great with customers. I believe he should handle customer interactions, while the young girl should perhaps work in the back or bus tables, as she was quite rude. This review reflects my experience over two consecutive days.

We stopped by for tamales after seeing her content on Instagram. The food did not disappoint. My husband ordered two green chile chicken tamale plate and I had posole and a red chile pork tamale. It was delicious. The next time we are in Fresno we will be stopping.
