heads up, this place is located inside the Fullerton hotel. i've driven past this hotel many times, but last night was the first time i stopped here. there are apparently 2 restaurants inside, one called journeyman, and the other, citizen kitchen. When we got there, it was past prime dinner time, however one of the waiters told us they were short staffed, so it would take 5 or 10 mins to get a seat ready for us. no problem, as we could just hang out at the bar and orders drinks instead... after we got the drinks, we followed him with him and seemed like he forgot about us and apologized to us and lead us to the table. After sitting down for a few mins, he came back out with a small bottle of champagne to apologize for us waiting that long. i didn't think we had waited too long, but the fact that he did that, it really put us in a good mood. We ordered one main entree, the pork chop, along with some appetizers. We got yukon potatoes, grilled octopus and arugula salad. it was plenty of food for the two of us. Honestly the best thing was the yukon potatoes, it was really simple, but they added some fried jam and the sweetness mixed with the saltiness was wonderful. the porkchop was decently sized and while it was on the dry side, it was still pretty good with the sweet potatoes lying under it. The drinks were made very well. Each cocktail will cost 13 bucks. I don't know if they change their menu each season/month, but if they do, i'll definitely be back.

Quite a cozy place to meet up with good old friends. Calamari, burger and sea bass were very tasteful. Dessert portions are quite small but, very delicious, too.

This place is a hidden gem! Do not be dissuaded by its location in the Fullerton hotel. The menu is seasonal and everything we had was so fresh and delicious. The service could not have been better and our waiter was a foodie himself. We had the branzino and it was perfectly cooked with a deliciously crisp skin. Please support the chef by eating here as soon as you can!

Very pleasantly surprised. Food was yummy. We went for brunch and ordered the first 5 items on the menu, all vegetarian. They were delicious but had to order more because portions are very small. For the price we expected more on the plate. Drinks were okay and wished they had bigger portions that was the only downfall. But food was ohh so yummy!

Not sure how this place got such high ratings...it's inside a hotel and expensive for the quality of food. It's empty, didn't require reservations at all! Their yelp site is misleading and it appears that they are trying really hard to be fine dining. Seafood was cold, rubbery, and disappointing. The pasta was not flavorful or comforting! It lacked ingredients. We should've known and expected less the moment we saw that it was in a hotel. Cocktails were watery...beer selection was minimal. Overall upset with the experience because the yelp reviews seem fake.. The quality of the food, at best, would be at the Marie Callender's level. Misleading...!

The restaurant is in the Hotel Fullerton. Food is tasty better than expected. I don't live around the area but I ordered extra order of Spicy Shrimp squid ink pasta to go for my next day's lunch. You can imagine how tasty the dish is. The only thing I can complain is the portion of the food is a little bit small. Suggest to serve bread. Service is great!

We wanted to try a place near our hotel in Anaheim and opted for this restaurant due to the array of seafood and meat options for different palates. The place is a bit difficult to find since it is actually located inside a hotel lobby. We were a bit skeptical since hotel restaurants are not typically good. We were seated immediately since we were a bit later for dinner the place is very modern chic and loud with a full bar. I had the out waiter was very friendly and was knowledgeable about the items on the menu. I had the grilled octopus and arugula salad while my dad had the roasted chicken on a light curry sauce. The salad was tasty with a light dressing. Our octopus was also flavorful and not rubbery although I would have liked it a bit more charred from the grill. Portions are very small for the price point so don't expect to be full. I think it would be best to order a couple apps to share since the entrees are not very large. Their beer and wine selection was good as well.

The Bloody Mary wasn't great but the Old Fashioned was really good. My wife's salmon, eggs, and tomato were pretty good, the steak and eggs weren't great. We got French toast for my kids and that was really good. The music was a tad too loud. The atmosphere was pretty cool, though. I think I want to give this place another chance because we heard good things about it.
