Quality has gone down. Why. Banh can really soft and not crunchy. Bap nuong hanh was so bad, and did not look like the picture on the banner

Disappointed with the customer service. They don't accept to pay by cards and only cash. Food is just meh.

Finding this place and ordering required calling the friend that sent me, but I'm glad I found it! Take the elevator next to the market to get there. Order: the name is too Vietnamese for me to remember, but it's the banh khot-like things that come with green mango and meat sauce. The banh xeo is pretty good too. There isn't much English spoken, but who needs words when you've got smiles?

The grilled fish 's rolled with rice paper is delicious, the price is cheap and you can bring your own beers

Food was great. Defiantly a jem. Had to take a weird path to get to the restaurant. The fish. Shrimp tart things. Quail. Beef with penne. Spring rolls. 👌

Terrible conditions. We leave right away after struggling to find the place. You have to walk up a dirty stairs in the back of the supermarket to get to the "place". It's almost 100 Degree with no air con.

I literally came here today on 6/3/19 and it doesn't seem closed... I think unless I was crazy. But I'm very sure I ate a full meal here. I got the banh can and soup mang cua. I have tried the banh Trang nuong, banh xeo, mi quang, and the banh Trang tron and honestly they're all freaking good. One of my favorite dishes here is the banh can and the soup mang cua. The mang cua is as authentic as u can get when it comes to this dish. I saw some documentaries on Vietnamese food in Vietnam and this comes very close to it-- maybe even perfectly replicated. The banh can is uniquely made only at this location as you will only find the other variation, the banh khot, around this area. This itself makes this restaurant greatly unique. Same with the banh trang nuong... honestly other than when the night market is in town, you'll only find this dish here also... The only downside to this location is that legit you'll be walking down the most run down hallway that seems suspiciously haunted. On the off time there are people here who use the hallway as dance practice, so in all honesty you might have to awkwardly dodge around them as you Maneuver through. Another funny mention is that while walking up stairs, you'll find yourself getting stared at by portraits of random asian families. It is as if their eyes follow you wherever you go.

Love this place, the only place I can find Banh Can in America so far. The owner and staffs are friendly and nice. You have to go upstairs and it's in the corner. Be sure to ask around to get this place. Oh and remember to ask for the stamp card. P/S: Authentic taste!!!

The Vegetable so bad, and the meat is 7.50 for 7 pieces, but when they bring for me, just have 4.

Located on the second floor of Saigon supermarket!! Its in a food court along with pho and deep fried fish restaurant. You can actually order dishes from multiple restaurant and eat at your own table. We were craving for Banh khot so we picked this place. Unlike Banh khot which is made from flour, their Banh van is made of egg! We got the combination plate which came with two of each topping which gave us a total of 10 pieces. All were crispy and delicious when dipped in fish sauce Banh xeo: extra crispy on the outside with bean sprouts, onions, and shrimp in the middle. No pork included. Banh xeo came with spring roll wrap and vegetables like lettuce, cucumber, and mint. They could've given more vegetables. Oc buu: flavorless but once dipped in its own fish sauce, it was delicious! Service was good. Environment reminds me eating in Vietnam lol Would come back!

I preordered 3 banh can, 1 banh trang nuong and 2 nem nuong. Was told 15 minutes. Arrived 5 min early and ended up waiting at least another 20 minutes. Service is slow moving. Young lady is nice and polite. This is my first time eating banh can. I didn't know what to expect and unfortunately, it did not wow me. It's nothing short of egg muffin. I ordered the combo and I think the best one was shrimp. Some were slightly burned at the bottom. The green mangoes were freshly julienned. Lettuce and herbs also fresh. I think I would've liked it more if the bottom was crunchy and had a chewy center. The nem nuong was ok. I didn't get to try banh trang nuong so don't have an opinion. I think it would be pretty tasty if they have slightly crunchy sticky rice at the bottom.

I've never tried banh can or heard of it before. I came across this gem when I was searching for a similar dish called banh khot. The best way I can describe it is, it's a rice pancake that's cooked over a charcoal grill in a circular pan mold. You eat with a fish sauce with shu mai meatballs and fresh unripened green mango. So random but it works. We ordered the combination banh can. It came with 2 egg, 2 quail egg, 2 squid, 2 shrimp and 2 ground beef pieces. If I were to do it again I'd get just the shrimp or beef. The egg banh canh is pretty basic. Since this was just a snack for us we didn't order anything else but maybe next time I'll try the OC cha. It's an adventure finding this place, but it's located on the second floor of Saigon Supermarket, which is a strange store as it is. I didn't know you could buy groceries, tile, and find a photographer all in one space. Once you go upstairs you might pass a dance studio, but you're heading in the right direction. There are a ton of other food stahls to choose from as well, but this is the only place that offers banh can. It's cash only so hit up the atm beforehand.
