Quan Ca Saigon Reviews
Fish was very crips and perfectly cooked!!! Will be back for sure!!!!!!!!!
Hidden place in the back of the supermarket up a staircase. The grilled catfish was very crispy and served with a heaping of vegetables to cuon with, very traditional and the old lady running it was soo sweet. Do not let the location scare you away, price is very good for the portion!
Food was great! Spot was a little difficult to find, however, well worth the effort to find it. The restaurant was on the second floor of the Saigon Supermarket. Server/chef was very kind and accommodating! Would come again!

Quan Ca Saigon is a hidden gem for grilled fish and Vietnamese cuisine, located on the second floor of a grocery store in a food court setup. The restaurant specializes in medium-sized grilled catfish, which is filling for two and cost-effective. The crispy-skinned grilled fish is a standout, with reasonable prices and generous portions. Customers often order the large grilled catfish, which is known to be huge and delicious, served with excellent sauces and herbs. The fish is served immediately after ordering, and the fish sauce and tamarind sauce are highly praised for their flavor.
The ambiance is typical of old-school Vietnamese restaurants but adds a unique charm due to its funky location and layout, which many find enjoyable. The owner is friendly and helpful, making the ordering experience pleasant. The restaurant is easy to find, just upstairs at the Saigon market, with signs guiding the way, and a shortcut through the back of the market is available.
Customers love the fresh and delicious flavor of the fish, especially the crispy fish and the tamarind sauce. The fish springrolls are also popular, described as filling yet light. The squid mango salad is another favorite. Service is attentive, though additional condiments are charged separately, even the dipping sauce. The main dishes come out quickly, but drinks and other dishes may take a bit longer. Overall, Quan Ca Saigon is a great place to enjoy authentic grilled fish and Vietnamese cuisine, offering a memorable experience despite its somewhat unusual location.
