Butaton Ramen - Garden Grove

The soup was good, a little spice always gives good flavor and blocks some bad taste. The noodles were good too, and they are good about my request to not fully cook the noodles. the half boiled egg, the onion, the bean sprouts, the seaweed, and the addition of corn were all good too, no complaints. however, the pork itself is not that great, which I'm a little sad. it's dry, hard to chew, and doesn't have enough flavor in it. and I'm not sure if it is because I got the end pieces, but the very end is just not good at all (like I actually wanted to spit it out...).
it's so unfortunate cuz I loved their vibe inside. they were playing Miyazaki movies! Howl's Moving Castle too! makes me wanna watch it again... (I love both Kimura Takuya and Christian Bales voice ?)

$13 ramen or $18 combo ramen with meat bowl and salad.

Ramen is tonsotka with pork or chicken. Broth is tasty and creamy, also oily, typical ramen. The pork is very tender and flavorful with unique Japanese smoky flavor. The food is authentic Japanese, probably even tastier, leaner and better than the famous ramen shops I had in Tokyo.

Serving was big. We took home the beef and pork bowls for later.

An excellent atmosphere, exceptional service, they are very attentive to refilling the sodas if we like them, it is a quiet place with excellent Japanese-type food

Parking: It is a little more complicated to park since there are different restaurants around, but it is really worth going.

Great Ramen! Get the Butaton Ramen so flavorful and good! Also got the Karaage chicken which was crispy and juicy and a must have!Will definitely be back when we visit the state again!

I love going here. It’s my favorite ramen spot in all of Garden Grove fr fr. I love love love the shoyu ramen so much. I crave it super often and it’s my comfort food. The atmosphere is so peaceful and I can eat my noodles in peace.
