For years I've been watching Korean elders come here after church and almost exclusively order the red soup. Finally decided to try it myself and unfortunately it doesn't quite match with my tastes. The soup tasted very bland, although there was plenty of chili. The ingredients were fresh and it was a very voluminous dish. Fell short for me on taste though. I'll try something else down the road.
It was my first time going to this restaurant and I was surprised to see Jjambbong served. First of all, the portion was large, the noodles were chewy, and the soup was like a thick jjamppong soup.
The downside was that the soup was too hot and there was too much of it, but I ate it well.

However, the food is mediocre at best. I ordered Spicy Jjamppong (their signature), and Tangsooyuk combo. Jjamppong lacked flavor, almost felt watered down, Tangsooyuk had soggy/chewy texture instead of light crisp. I paid nearly $30 for a meal, and both items was pretty bad for its price. I wonder if the Mr.Lee Mangyu's name is any special in restaurant scene, because this was just bad...
