I was a really excited to try this by myself since I saw great reviews on TikTok and on here and they were out of the drink that I would really wanted to try, it was really disappointing because I’m not from this area so I have to take two buses to get there and I would appreciate it if they would’ve left a note on the door instead of waiting in line for nearly 10 minutes or left a post on their instagram.

My husband loves the ca phe brulee. He says it's the best Vietnamese coffee he has ever had. My favorite so far is the banana coffee. The banana is not strong coffee and has a hint of spices and banana. It's not overly sweet either. I think the brulee one is definitely sweeter but still delicious.

Definitely a coffee place keeper. I had their coconut slush and the taste and aroma coffee smell is out of this world! 10x times better Starbucks. It's a small place so not recommended to sit. There is an adjacent parking lot to get in and out quickly. The price is reasonable compared to Starbucks. I will be back!

Vietnamese Iced Coffee Phin style was immaculate. 🤌🏼 We’ll be coming back to try more of their menu.
This place is a must try. Ambience is amazing. I couldn’t believe how full the cafe was but relaxing at the same time.

Everything was so cute!! and the drinks were delicious. and the service is unmatched. just like all of the other reviews here - this is a must!
we got 3 different drinks. the strawberry matcha, the ca phe sua da and then the coconut esque (?) one. all 3 were amazing with the ca phe sua da being the best.
the service was amazing and they have you test the drink to see if you like it before you pay which is something i’ve never experienced before. it was clean and the decor was so cute. when I go back to the west coast I will definitely go back!

It doesn’t smell pleasant in the coffee shop for sure. Smelled off! This shopping area or downtown looks gross. Very dirty streets and walk ways. I don’t think we will come back this way for the coffee however the coffee wasn’t that bad tasting. Just def not a repeat type of place. I think the smell of the place is off putting cause it doesn’t smell like coffee it smells like a bathroom.

4.7/5 ### Phin Smith in Garden Grove – Coconut & Avocado Smoothie Coffee Steals the Show
Nestled in the heart of Garden Grove, Phin Smith is a gem for anyone craving a fresh spin on Vietnamese coffee. I stopped by last Saturday morning, drawn by buzz about their Coconut and Avocado Smoothie Coffee, and let me tell you—this drink is a game-changer. The shop itself exudes a warm, inviting vibe with its minimalist decor, colorful murals, and the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air. The staff was all smiles, quick to take my order, and even tossed in a suggestion to add an extra splash of coconut milk for that tropical punch.
This smoothie coffee is pure magic in a cup. The bold, nutty Vietnamese coffee base holds its own, delivering that classic caffeine kick, while the avocado blends in for a velvety, almost dessert-like creaminess that’s surprisingly light. The coconut milk ties it together with a natural sweetness that doesn’t overpower—think beach vacation in liquid form. I got the medium ($6.50, a steal), and it was perfectly chilled, refreshing, and kept me satisfied for hours. No grainy texture, no overly sweet aftertaste—just a harmonious blend of flavors.
On the flip side, the place was packed, and my order took about 12 minutes during the morning rush. Also, the menu could be clearer on portion sizes; I had to ask for details. But these are minor gripes when the drink is this good. Phin Smith nails the balance of innovation and tradition, making it a must-visit for coffee lovers in Garden Grove. I’m already planning my next trip to pair this with their banh mi. Solid 4.6/5—nearly perfect, and I’m hooked!

If you're a coffee lover, you have to try the Vietnamese coffee served here—especially the Phin style! It has a unique flavor that's a bit different from the traditional version, but it's definitely worth a taste. Just a heads up, it can get pretty busy on the weekends, but don’t worry, they serve you up quickly. Enjoy!
