Red Sake has seriously gone downhill since it opened. Our waitress pressured my mother to add the sashimi to her order, not mentioning it was one of the most expensive items on the menu ($50). Everything came out slowly and at random times—My entree didn’t arrive until everyone else had long finished their food. There are better options all over Orange County, skip this one.

7 out of 10 on the quality of the sushi, kinda pricey for basic rolls, not a. Ery large selection of rolls, however the service was friendly, the parking was easy, and it was lively atmosphere. Overall Id give it a 7/10
Fresh, delicious sushi and unique rolls. Fast, with friendly service too.

My husband and I have been coming to Red Sake for years, and we absolutely love it! The oysters, baked mussels, and octopus are a few of our favorites. I highly recommend coming here!

Last visited about a week ago and was disappointed. They didn't have most of the fish advertised on the daily specials board. Then the fishes served were not fresh.

A total gem of a find. Family owned with fresh ingredients and a friendly atmosphere. The garlic Edamame have a little kick but the flavor is great. I ordered the masago (smelt eggs). The portion was a little small, but the taste was good. I also tried the wonton poke, (Spicy tuna on a bed of seaweed on a wonton shell.) It too has a kick. So delicious! Last but not least was the salmon skin salad. Now, this wasn't on the menu, but I saw it on their website and they said they could make it for me. It is GREAT! I told them to put it back on the menu- it is that good.
Just ordered the salmon roll. Very good. I confess I have become accustomed to Japanese/Americanized sushi, yeah yeah but I really enjoyed this more authentic Japanese roll. Guns and roses, sweet child of mine played over the speakers...so it was a win win lol. Fun and casual place to eat good food.
Good sushi, not good prices. We came here on weekend after it opened and it was a bit empty. We ordered 4 dishes. The Lobster Fire roll looked great as on pic. Salmon Skin and Calamari were great appetizers. Sashimi and sushi included 9 pieces and they were fresh. Food tasted fine but the sashimi for the portion it was very expensive. It was $45 for 9 pieces which we can get the same for $16-20 at other places. Overall, we spent $80 for 2 people not including tips. The prices dropped our stomachs from heaven to hell. I would not go back.

The rolls are pretty tasty since they use eclectic ways to spice things up. What was a bit disappointing was "some" of the sashimi have an unpleasant after taste to them, at least the white fishes anyway. So maybe you might want to just stick to their rolls. I'll come back in a few weeks to see if their sashimi are any fresher.
Best sushi ever! Casual atmosphere but don’t let that fool you!
Sushi was fresh and delicious. Baked salmon roll and omakase platter were amazing
Absolute rip-off. My wife and I went there for my birthday and they wanted $40 per person just to sit at the bar for a 8 PC roll that the chef chooses. Not you. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. $80 for two just to sit at the bar is an absolute scam.
Absolutely amazing sushi!
