Red Sake has seriously gone downhill since it opened. Our waitress pressured my mother to add the sashimi to her order, not mentioning it was one of the most expensive items on the menu ($50). Everything came out slowly and at random times—My entree didn’t arrive until everyone else had long finished their food. There are better options all over Orange County, skip this one.

7 out of 10 on the quality of the sushi, kinda pricey for basic rolls, not a. Ery large selection of rolls, however the service was friendly, the parking was easy, and it was lively atmosphere. Overall Id give it a 7/10

I gotta say, best kept mom n pop sushi! I love the wife. She has great customer service, very humble, and family vibe. Service is great, food is great, and has a homey feel to it. It's Sunday, they close in 11 mins, yet still turn on the kareoke system, and let's guests enjoy!! Very nice little spot for birthday occasions. Feels like a far away aunt. Cheers to the good vibes!

My cousin texted us a picture of the lamb chops from here she saw on Yelp, and we were all like, we gotta go! And we all had looked at the Yelp pictures, and lots of things looked good, so we came with a list of things we wanted to try. For sure, Lamb Chops with foie gras was on the list. Three of us ordered that, and it was amazing. Two of us decided we wanted to order it too, after tasting it, but they actually ran out. The Tori+Uni+Truffle (with foie gras) Spoon was another thing some of us had to try, and that was absolutely delicious. The oysters with uni were also amazing; one of the better raw oysters I've had at a restaurant. The Baked Green Mussels were good too, just wish they didn't chop up the mussels into tiny pieces; I prefer to chew on a bigger piece of mussel. Everything we had was delicious. It definitely was pricey though, because we added foie gras and uni on many of our items. But I'd still want to eat here again.

Owner prefers his parking and not customers! After driving in the parking lot 10+ minutes looking for a spot I walked in the restaurant and asked if I could move the cone and park since it's not marked but the owner said NO! He reserves any spots he wishes and doesn't allow customers to use the space. I parked next door and took my appetite elsewhere, will not return to Red Sake

The moment I walked in here, I quickly fell in love with this place. This place is a combo of both Vietnamese and Japanese cultures. The service is so wonderful and the employees here are so amazing. The sushi was super delicious and there were eurobeat remixes of Vietnamese pop songs. The food is so good I honestly want more. Someday in the future, I might want to come back and have fun again.

Red Sake has always been my go-to place for decent sushi since it's close by my house. Last Saturday, my bf and I were supposed to go to Uni but when we got there, it was full of the owners' entourage so we left. We then decided to go to Red Sake. And that was a great decision. Everything we ordered was fresh. The uni was sweet and buttery. This is a more low key place. We can actually talk here without the loud music. Highly recommend the chef's choice sashimi

Highlights were the seared black cod sushi (fav), eel hand roll, salmon boat (better than I thought it would be - one was enough & tasty), & toro, among others. Everything with fresh wasabi & yuzu. This was our second dinner and we left happy. Next time we might try the lamb.

The rolls were good especially the chef's special. Super pricey though. Good thing is this place is opened later compared to other sushi places. It's a quick fix for a sushi craving.

Last visited about a week ago and was disappointed. They didn't have most of the fish advertised on the daily specials board. Then the fishes served were not fresh.

Where do I start... Red Sake gave me one of the most satisfying sushi meals I've had in a long time... or maybe ever? ::insert wide mouth emoji here::We started with a half dozen oysters. Only mistake was not ordering 2 dozen. This was just the perfect little starter to the rest of the amazing meal. First of all- the oysters are so tiny and cute! My fave kind of oysters really. The rest of dinner was just a blur... But in the best way possible! We ordered with hearts' content and our tastebuds were thankful for it. Everything was pretty much incredible. Oysters- 5/5Yellowtail sashimi- 5/5 (careful this melts in your mouth really fast)Baked mussels- 4/5Toro cut roll- 4/5Baked salmon roll- 3/5 (we changed a cream cheese ingredient to avocado, and I'll order the original way next time to compare)Red Sake roll- 5/5Foie gras, toro, uni, truffle spoon- 5/5!!! (This is $25 per spoon. If you can splurge- do it!)I'm giving it 4 stars because I want to come another time and see if it's consistent. I'll update my review to 5 stars if it is. I can't wait!!
