Food was good, prices are decent.
However, we found plastic in our food. When we pointed this out to the employees, they neither apologized nor offered a refund.
One star for lack of basic human decency.

Great restaurant if you care less about service. The foods are amazing but service is left much to be desired. Some, not all of the cashiers/server are always on their phone, forgetting orders and would give you that look as if you’re the problem when you reminded them about your missing item.
1. I really like the spicy dry mix, and I realized that I prefer to have dry malatang!
2. The spot has chill casual vibes! The interior is cozy!
3. The staff was friendly and timely with my order! They brought my water and utensils to my table!

X-Malatang X麻辣烫 is a restaurant with chill casual vibes and a cozy interior. The food is good and the prices are decent. The spicy dry mix is a favorite, and the malatang is pretty spicy if the spiciest category called “wild” is chosen. The beef base has flavor but is on the saltier side. The taro fresh milk is good because it uses fresh taro instead of taro powder. The place opens till midnight and is spacious, very clean, with a lot of open tables and a decent sized sauce bar with the basic essentials. The staff can be friendly and timely, bringing water and utensils to the table, and the service is really fast. However, some cashiers or servers are always on their phone, forgetting orders. The fish ball options and the selection of meats, veggies and seafood are limited. There is a one pound minimum charge, at about $15.99 per pound.
