Unprofessional staff, while it is a small family style kitchen, the waiters are very unwelcoming. I've gone on several occasions and have waited well over 20 minutes to order and we'll over an hour to eat. Mind you, there has only ever been 3 other customers in the restaurant every time I go. It seems that service is not a priority here. Unprofessional and petty personal treatment

Not really a ramen guy, but this is my favorite in Torrance. Open late, amazing flavor, and friendly service.

The wait was quite long but it ended up being more than worth it, the food was sooooo good, I was really impressed and me and friends completely finished everything we ordered, I’m definitely coming back.

I wasn't too comfortable seeing the water you are served to drink coming out of a bucket. Everywhere you look at very dirty dishes. Might not be back to be honest .

The food and vibe here are definitely old-skool healthy and delicious japanese food. it's not like all the other ramen restaurants popping up where the ingredients and broth are much heavier whereas at Asa, the masterful simplicity of the broth complimenting the toppings is something to be appreciated. The place is old, and smells a bit like cigarettes but I got used to it pretty quickly (I am very smell sensitive so I almost left but the man who I am guessing is the owner, came over and gave us little chips with our beer and he smiled and giggled a little. I instantly fell in love ❤️). Everything was delicious. Try it out!

The 1 buck costed “Pork Back Fat” turned out to be just a table spoon of lard.
You could enjoy 9 bucks ramen here. But it is 9 bucks quality.
I wanted to add backfat to my light ramen, so I ordered the backfat from the menu as a topping.
What came out was lard squeezed from the tube, which was a surprise. Wasn't this a ramen shop? It was only $9, so I thought it was pretty cheap. I expected too much.

Asa Ramen in Gardena is a fantastic spot to unwind after work. I always used to go there for a fresh beer and delicious ramen with colleagues. The food is consistently great, and the service is friendly. The ambiance is casual and inviting, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. Highly recommend for a post-work hangout!

Hate to bag on a long time small business, but it was just Not Good!
The food had an off taste to it. The gyoza tasted weird, so did the asari ramen. Karaage chicken was ok, but greasy.
Biggest complaint would be the service. It took a long time to get served and the food took a while too. Hard to justify when theres better places nearby
