The Kumidashi tofu here was amazing. I don't usually enjoy eating tofu but my wife loves it and we both agreed that this is the best tofu we have ever had. We will definitely be returning for more tofu.

Meiji's Tofu is nothing short of miraculous. I not only eat tofu at least once (and often more than once) a day, but I even make my own tofu from organic, non GMO soy beans on a regular basis. Try as I might, my product doesn't hold a candle to this master of the craft and art of tofu making. Every product he sells is stellar, but if you can get it try the SUPREME TOFU SUPREME KUMIDASHI -- X SOFT CUP TOFUSUPREME EDAMAME -- BABY SOY BEANS (SEASONAL) ZARU TOFU -- BASKET TOFUThis product is Devine. Soft, creamy, moist, delicate yet sweet and slightly nutty in flavor, this ultimate silken tofu is the very best expression of the lowly soybean. Unlike block tofu which separates the curds from the whey and then presses the curds into a block, silken tofu incorporates all the water, making it very soft and delicate and more subtle in flavor. Meiji isn't a restaurant. It's a door to his production facility where you ring a bell and get to purchase a slice of old world heaven. I eat mine cold for breakfast with a nice amount of homemade crunchy garlic Sichuan pepper oil and a dash of Bachan's Japanese barbecue sauce for some sweetness. Meiji also sells his product through a number of small specialty shops around LA and a few other places around California. All are listed on his website at meijitofu.com/stockistsIf I am waxing rhapsodic, it's because it's hard to believe nothing but soybeans and water (and a little calcium chloride from deep sea water) can make something so sublime. Try it. You can thank me later.

This place have really fresh soy products. Everything is creamy and yummy. I also hear they use deep sea water to make the tofu, that's cool. The soymilk is $3 for the bottle. It is so creamy and thick. It comes unsweetened but kinda naturally sweet and savory...at the same time if that makes sense. The husband added sugar to it at home but I prefer as is.They don't have utensils, soy sauce, or seats, but if you're looking for tofu you can eat raw right away: kumidashi tofu. You can get the regular 16oz for $5 or supreme 12oz for $6 (it's smaller but cost more because double the soy). Tip: bring your own spoon like me so you can enjoy right away! Tip2: Iike it with a drizzle of honey, makes it like high protein ice cream. The lady there is nice and helpful. She will help you and explain the differences, if you aren't sure what to get.Parking is street if available. If you dare, you can probably park in a lot for next door business since you will get out fast anyway. Shop is difficult to find because there's a big building right before it on the right hand side when you're driving.

The supreme tofu is excellent on its own or with a little honey or jam for dessert.

Getting fresh Tofu at this quality, daily, is a true blessing. I would move to South Bay for this! Thank you for working so hard to give us the most simple but delicious and healthy food! I can eat your soft tofu everyday ?

I love your tofu, but please keep the hours on Google Maps up to date! I just drove 25 minutes here to buy some tofu this morning, but I didn't know you are closed through Jan. 10th.

This is one of my favorite places to get tofu to supplement lunch, dinner, or a snack. I'm not sure if Meiji has any relation to the chocolate. The storefront is easily missed and feels like it's out of place, but there is usually a little sign out front. After buying all the tofu, the total came out to be a bit high. Considering that I still have to add my own toppings, it's not cheap but it's not expensive. Food (5/5) -Soymilk drink isn't as sweet as the soymilk I've had from the supermarkets or the Asian variety. It's also thicker than the ones I buy from the grocery store. I recommend trying this! -Kumidashi of the second section on the menu (under supreme tofus) is so soft and delicious. I add a sprinkle of soy sauce and grated ginger for a lovely addition to my lunch or dinner. -Medium tofu is pretty good, I used this for making mapo tofu at home. -Firm tofu is fitting for making fried tofu. I think this is what they recommend for making it! -Zaru tofu comes in a cute little basket which is adorable, but I think I'd go with the kumidashi supreme for the future. Service (4/5) -It's take out only and cash only. Despite the restrictions, the people there are so nice and sweet. They were patient with all my questions on what tofu to get and what I needed them for. Parking (4/5) -There's plenty of street parking. Overall: 4.3

This place is so random, but it's possibly the best tofu in the world. The zaru tofu is so so so good. Come here.

This place is such a hidden gem. The premium zaru tofu may be pricy for some but is definitely worth it. Highly recommend this place to lovers of fresh tofu.

Fresh fresh tofu. Friendly people. I get the ones that uses double the soy for a sweeter taste but they're all great. Can't beat fresh
