Great that there's a place we can try a variety of legit good sake, locally. Many of their selections are rated highly in Japan.

I'm reluctant to write this review because I don't want anyone else to know about how cool Muso Style is. If you're Japanese, you'll love this place because it tries to replicate the smaller bars in Japan with it's food selection, cocktails, service, and ambience. It's great for small groups of up to 4 or dates, where you want as few people around you as possible, but also right next to you. I don't think they can fit more than 20 people in there and if they did, it would be too crowded. So keep this a secret!

Great sake bar and light snack menu fun and open late. Cool vibe location and airs Dodgers ball game. Everything was great!

Musō Style Japanese Sakè Bar is in the same space as the former Canzō which was rather novel in serving unusual canned foods from around the world along with Japanese Sakè (sah keh), Shōchū, Beer. Musō means peerless or matchless, and it too serves excellent Japanese Sakè, Shōchū, Beer with a short menu list of Japanese apps, desserts, soft drinks. Bar and limited table seating in a narrow, unadorned space. An outside sign states "soft opening" so maybe the room will take on its own character as time goes on. Yuri is the friendly, kind, empathetic, warm bartender on a late Wednesday night. The chef de cuisine of noted Sushi restaurant Kampachi was chilling out after closing of his restaurant only a few doors away as well as some locals who make it their "cheers". There is a sizable Japanese speaking clientele. I had the Oni no Shita Burui Sakè on their specials board which means Shivering Demon's Tongue. Great Sakè from Tottori region. Dry, touch tongue tingling, smooth sweet with a cleansing, refreshing bitterness. Light tangerine peel citrus tone, toasty, juicy, light bodied. Musō has different Sakè flights of a set of 3 distinct Sakè. Good place to sample premium Sakè until you hit a great one which entices you to buy a whole bottle. Unpretentious, down home, nice place to unwind without having loud, "curated", house music making it hard to have a decent conversation. Friendly locals, convivial bar-t, great Sakè. Will have to try their apps with my Sakè next time. 5- stars.

The last time we were at this location, it was a wine and sake bar known as Canzo. We liked that place and it's quirky menu. It's now under new ownership and the place is now rebranded as Muso Style. The sign outside indicates it's a soft opening. The place was full on the Friday we visited. Many of the patrons appear to be regulars from the Canzo days. There are a few tables. The bar area was full as the regulars were all watching the Dodger game. It was quite a lively night. We ordered:Kubota flight. My favorite was the daiginjo. Muso flight. My husband liked all options. Taisetsu sake from Hokkaido. Milk tea cocktail. I did not know what to expect but I really enjoyed this cocktail. Edamame. French fries with seaweed. There are other small plates items. We'll try them next time. Try it! Enjoy!

A nice place to drink and chat. It's a casual and chill bar. You just grab a seat that's available. They have quite a bit of sake to choose from and I like their cocktails. My favorite is probably the yuzu kazu. It's citrusy and refreshing. I need to try the food here next time.

My gf and I have been getting into sake recently and we saw this sake bar open up so so we had to check it out. We came in on a Saturday around 8:30p and grabbed a seat at the bar alongside 5 other patrons which were the only other people there. The interior is intimate with bar seating for 10-12. There were also maybe 3-4 4 person tables. We did 2 sake tasting sets that each came with 3 different types of sake. Our favorite was the Kabuto Daijingo that tasted complex, floral, and sweet so we ordered a 300ml bottle after our tasting. The bartender was so sweet and allowed us to choose from an array of sake glasses that were each unique and all well made. Perhaps most surprising was the scallop and seawood dish we order to munch on alongside our sake. You wouldn't expect a sake bar to have great food, but it was delicious! The salty, umami flavor paired perfectly along with our sake. Best part is it was only $7!As we drank, we chatted with the other patrons about our favorite restaurants in the South Bay and got some great recommendations. Behind the bar was a TV playing the Angels/Dodgers game and everyone got excited when Ohtani stepped up to bat. At one point, an older gentleman around 60 came in with his wife sang a quick song with his guitar before leaving. We left around 10p, and as we left, the bar filled up with about 12 people walking in.Overall 5/5 for a great sake selection, tasty food, and amazing ambiance.Food - 5/5 (scallop and seawood)Drinks - 5/5 (great sake selection)Ambiance - 5/5 (friendly patrons)Service - 5/5 (great bartender)

My husband and I love sake, so we thought it was so awesome to have a new sake bar in the South Bay to check out. They have set flights ranging from extra dry, fragrant to premium and/or you can also choose any 3 sakes from their current inventory. The cool part is that they change sakes monthly and kubotas (because they are seasonal) so that you can always come back and try something new and different.Loved all their food too. Yuri wears a lot of hats at Muso, but she comes up with all the recipes for the food herself. Many locals around town know of Yuri and her delicious food so it's not to be missed and goes perfectly well with all the drinks. Such a chill and casual bar with plenty of parking, so it makes for a perfect time and experience for anyone!

Muso Style is a new sake bar that has recently opened its doors in Gardena, California, and it's definitely worth checking out. What sets Muso Style apart from other sake bars is the wide range of sake options they offer. With over 25 different varieties of sake, there is something for everyone. Whether you are a sake connoisseur or a newcomer to the drink, you will find something that suits your palate. The staff is knowledgeable about the different types of sake and will be more than happy to guide you through the selection process. The food menu at Muso Style is just as impressive as the drink menu. The dishes are inspired by Japanese cuisine and are made using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu offers a variety of small plates, making it the perfect spot for a night out with friends or a romantic date. Here's everything we ordered: FOOD:* Karaage * Potato Salad * Rare Chicken Tenderloin with Plum Paste* Green Pepper and Sardine with Ponzu Sauce* Vanilla Ice Cream with Crispy Almond Soy SauceDRINKS: - 1st round -* Murai Family Sugidama Junmai Ginjo Sake* Gangi Mizunowa Ginjo Sake* Hitakami Chokarakuchi Junmai Sake- 2nd round - * Taisetsu Junmai Ginjo Sake* Sayuri Nigori Sake* Murai Family Nigori SakeI also recommend trying their delicious cocktails! My favorites were the Okinawa Blue and the Matcha Milk Tea Cocktail. We cannot wait to come back!

I heard this place just did their soft opening, and since I love Sake, I couldn't resist checking out this new Sake Bar in the South Bay.Their Sake selection was impressive with many I had never heard of or tried. Here are some of the Sake I really enjoyed and recommend in order from most favorite:1) Hitakami Sukeroku Junmai Daiginjo2) Hitakami Chokarakuchi Junmai 3) Murai Family Sugidama Junmai Ginjo4) Taisetsu Junmai Ginjo Every one of these Sake were new to us and they were all amazing. And apparently none of these can be bought in stores, so you can only enjoy them in select locations including here. They also had a good variety of tasty Japanese Izakaya style menu items. Here is what I tried in order from most favorite dish:1) Rare Chicken Tenderloin with Plum Paste2) Tamagoyaki with Mentai sauce3) Japanese Radish Salad with Crispy Shirasu4) Chicken KaraageThe food was pretty good and we enjoyed every dish we tried. Definitely hit the spot pairing with our Sake and prices were very reasonable. They also carry an extensive selection of Japanese beers, Shochu and Awamori. Not to mention their signature cocktail selections. I love Sweet Potato shochu (aka "Imo Shochu". Imo means potato in Japanese), so I had to try their "Imojito" cocktail. (See what they did there?) I never thought that Sweet Potato shochu could be used in cocktails, but this one really caught me by surprise with how good it was.The place is a bit small, maybe 20 seats or so, but it has a really chill and laid back ambiance. If you love Sake like I do, then you need to check them out at least once. The manager Yuri told me that they will be bringing in even more varieties of Sake every month, so hearing that alone makes me want to come back and try some more.
