This place was probably my favorite breakfast spot in Gardena and it sucks that it closed because it really was a hidden gem I wish the owners of the business all the luck in the world they deserve it

This place was amazingly good . They closed their doors without notice . Does anyone know if they relocated ?

I enjoyed the breakfast burrito at Painter's Tape, but found the roughly 45 minute wait excessively long. Although I like fresh-made food and can appreciate the fact that they can get busy on weekends, I didn't think the food ended up being worth it. The okinawan-style donuts proved to be quite dry and not as good as others I've had. The coffee was tasty but a danish we tried was pretty meh. I don't think we'll be coming back again. I felt this was a poor value and not a great use of time given the complexity of the food. They take credit cards and have a small outdoor parking lot.

If you are in Gardena and looking for a breakfast or lunch spot, this is the place to come to. I got the NYC style chopped beef and cheese and the potatoes bravas. The food was scrumptious and fulfilling. I originally went there for the curry pan, however, they no longer have that on the menu. It's okay because they have plenty to choose from the menu. The place was so nice and loved the theme of the restaurant. They have paint rollers and paint cans as lights. The staff was friendly and the young man who was taking my order recommend the NYC sandwich. Best decision I made. There is enough seating and the wait time is much faster than a IHOP on a Sunday. Highly recommend Painter Tape.

Love this place. I’m addicted to their breakfast burritos, which are massive. I also love the Texas toast as a bit of breakfast dessert. Really nice people and good coffee

An amazing experience all over! Great and unique food. You won't find anything else like it anywhere but here.

Had a great brunch here right before they closed! Highly recommend the chicken sando and also the chopped beef sando! Fresh ingredients and made to order. They really satisfied our cravings. Hope they expand to dinner service!

The name say's it all. A small group and I went last weekend for brunch. It was pretty cool, all of their fixtures where paint related! It's small with indoor and outdoor dinning. The menu is perfect, small dishes with lots of yum! I ordered the breakfast salad. A perfect runny egg, over crispy fries, and a pork belly salad, just heavenly! I will definitely be going back, and you cannot beat the price. The downside, no booze!

I'm not adding any photos as we ate the food before I even thought of taking a photo. Plus, there's a ton of great photos here and they're on point. This is our second time eating at Painter's Tape. We ordered through Door Dash. Our first time was pre-COVID, many years ago. My husband hated what he ordered and we never returned. I can't remember the name of the dish that he ordered. None of the posted photos look like what he ordered. Maybe they took it off the menu. Flash forward to today. I was looking at Yelp reviews for something else and the Breakfast Salad popped up on my feed. It looked delicious. I convinced my husband to try Painter's Tape again. Glad we did! The Breakfast Salad was delicious! We also ordered the Texas Toast - yummy! - and the Honey Butter Chips (addictive!) Well, now this is something we will order on repeat. It's a decadent meal, so it's not a weekly or daily thing. However, it's a treat for those weekdays you just want a great breakfast that is not quite the normal diner breakfast. Happy bellies!

I came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon and overall it was a good experience. The place was not crowded, the wait wasn't long and the food was good. I ordered the stewed rice, New York steak sandwich and strawberry guava agua fresca. The stewed rice was ok, my egg wasn't runny...not really my cup of tea but the sandwich and agua fresca were really good. The New York steak and cheese sandwich was pretty filling and tasted like an elevated cheese burger! Parking can be a little tricky but I'd definitely come back for the sandwich and agua fresca!

Great little spot... Hubby and I stumbled across this place after golfing and it was really good. I had the breakfast burrito, of which I could only eat half of cause it bested me. Hubby had the breakfast plate that he did was very good as well.

This is seriously the best food I've ever had. If you're in the South Bay Area and have not been here you are missing out. The chef puts so much thought and care into what he's doing, you can taste it with every bite. I've had not had a single bad thing here from the fresh agua Fresca mimosas to the the breakfast salad and really anything you order. Gardena's hidden gem. This is the real deal. My only regret is not coming in sooner. I wish he was open for dinner cause I can only imagine the creations he would make. Seriously the best in LA

Decent brunch with subtle twists of fusion. The savory dishes tasted pretty generic, but the sweet brunch dishes were really different and delicious! I especially liked the creme brulee toast and Okinawa hush puppies. But my opinions honestly might be biased because I really like creme brulee in general; the hush puppies were crispy on the outside and perfectly mochi-but-not-as-sticky like in the inside. I'd definitely come back if/when I want sweets after a lunch meal!

The honey butter chips are mind altering. Also, might possibly be the best fried chicken sandwich in the area... the chicken must be brined. Everything on the menu sounded good, and after having such a great experience on the first try, we will be back! Only downside is that they close early in the day!
