I love this place for at least 3 generations my family has been coming here. It makes me think of my grandmother as this was always a treat me and her would go and get just the two of us and share with no one else. It was like our place and being a family and seeing a family and speaking like family all my life I just love this place. I always want 16-20 pieces half and nori and inari.

Call ahead an order if you want to get in and out quickly otherwise you can be in for a long wait. Great bargain if you love sushi and don't have money to throw around.

Sakae Sushi is takeout ONLY. You can preorder over the phone, or walk-up and order but expect a little bit of waiting for preparation. Sakae Sushi is a hidden gem for takeout traditional maki-sushi. I think it's the best in southern CA. I love their Saba!!

Such a great ToGo Sushi place. Unique high quality flavors ordered by number of sushi prices and uniquely boxed and wrapped to go. I highly recommend. Healthy fresh sushi. It isn’t like the sushi where it’s filled with so many sauces and etc. it doesn’t explode flavor in your mouth but it’s pure freshness and high quality. The pieces are huge and you can definitely get full just eating 5 pieces. As another person mentioned the rice quality is amazing. I stored it in the fridge and the rice remained moist until the next time I ate it.
