If you’re a first timer like me, you might be doubtful entering the store just like my experience as it’s not like the door was open or you could peek through from outside. Nonetheless that’s probably the way you knew it’s legit as the store didn’t even come in gorgeous presentation or whatsoever. Just simple showcases and an attendant, with cash-only payment.

We picked up a 10-piece assortment that included ohagi, injeolmi mochi, steamed buns, and various manju.

The store itself looks like it’s barely hanging on—honestly, you might walk right past it if you didn’t know what you were looking for.

Mochi is fresh with good, soft texture, but way too sweet and overpriced. Spent $21 for 7 pcs.

For $2.95 each, the mochi size is basic and overpriced. They’re about 1.5” diameter, same size and flavor as the 8-pack Shirakiku brand you get at the store so I’m not sure about the other reviews that say how “huge” the mochi is here.
