I've been coming to Shilla periodically for the past 25 years. It's one of the long standing mom and pops that are still around after all these years and the quality is still top notch! It's also one of the few places that still cooks on a stone grill top.

We stopped by for a birthday meal around 5:00PM on a Sunday because I was craving marinated galbi and beef rib with a great helping of banchan. We were promptly seated with no wait. The aunties...

Would you guys eat raw beef!? Shilla off the 405 near LAX is the perfect spot for korean food. They have milk tea and great $17.99 lunch specials including bibimbap, galbi tang, and even house made cold noodles. And the ajummas and ajusshis are in the back cooking up everything so you know it’s going to be good.

My favorite is their yukaejang or spicy beef noodle soup. So tender with a kick enjoy.
