Let's be real, sometimes restaurant names escape me. But when my wife says "Korean soup place with all the Korean senior citizens," I instantly remember she means Tofu Village in Gardena.

Here's the thing: if you walk into a Korean restaurant and it's filled with Korean senior citizens, you know the food is legit. And Tofu Village? It's always bustling with them, which is a testament to the authentic, soul-warming dishes they serve.

Their specialty is Soon Tofu, and it's honestly the best value on the menu. A bubbling hot stone bowl filled with flavorful broth, silky tofu, and your choice of protein (I'm a beef guy, through and through)? It's pure comfort food.

But the real star of the show, in my opinion, is the banchan. Those unlimited vegetable side dishes? They're a feast in themselves! Fresh, flavorful, and constantly refilled. And even when you order to go, they don't skimp. They pack up little aluminum foil containers with the best of the bunch, which is a thoughtful touch.

Tofu Village isn't fancy, and it doesn't need to be. It's authentic, delicious, and makes you feel good from the inside out. It's a 5-star experience, and I'll keep coming back for that warm, comforting bowl of Soon Tofu. And those banchan, of course!

Everything here was DELICIOUS. I ordered the seafood sundubu with fried mackerel and my boyfriend ordered dumpling sundubu and barbecue chicken and not a single thing disappointed. Even every single banchan dish was my favorite! The cucumbers, and glass noodles, and potato especially 😍 the rice is the good kind- and purple, and you can get hot tea for free instead of water. The mackerel was buttery and melted in your mouth. The sundunbu came with an egg and plenty of both dumplings and seafood pieces. I will most definitely be coming back and I highly recommend to anyone trying to find a generous, worth your money, homey Korean restaurant. A new favorite.

Man, this is absolutely a phenomenal restaurant. I'm running behind for work, but this place is so amazing that I'm taking time to write this review. If you look at my picture, I got all this for less than $20 for lunch. So many side dishes and the main dish was delicious! You have to come try this place if you want great food with awesome service. Thank you so much to everyone here. Wow!!!

I absolutely had a pleasure eating at tofu village. I ordered the beef soup. My wife order the seafood combo, and we finish everything. The broth was rich full of flavor I can't wait to come back here again when it starts getting colder as it would be the meal that puts me to sleep. The reason why I'll come back is because the service was superb on top of the food tasting so good.

Bad service ever. You should do yourself everything and waiting food forever without apology. I will never comeback.

The banchan and vegetable tofu soup were delicious and made to order. The service was warm and welcoming. I love coming here as an alternative to Ktown or BCD Tofu House, because it’s not as crowded but equally tasty. Also, I love that there’s always enough parking even during lunch rush.

Before leaving the United States, I lived near LAX. Found this tofu hotpot restaurant by accident.

Although it is a traditional shop, the tofu hot pot tastes very good. My family thinks the taste is not inferior to the chain stores. Even better.

Side dishes are also good. The service staff are very kind. What an unexpected surprise.

Nice spot in Gardena. Really nice service and yummy Soon. We ordered the mushroom soon which also comes with Banchan. We enjoyed the kimchee, potato dishes, and veggie Banchan. Can’t go wrong with this spot. The flavors are great and when you ask for spicy soon , it’s actually nice and spicy!
