Here is a personal secret: I don’t like wine. My wife does! But I love to go to vineyards for the experience. She said she liked this wine and we will order some to be shipped home.

Go here for the *experience.* Mr. Frick is that unusual man from a prior generation who is completely dedicated as a farmer to his land. He does everything at the vineyard, especially since his wife passed on, except for hiring help to harvest. His intimate relationship with the same property for his entire adult life is fascinating to hear about. He certainly earned my respect.

As far as I can tell, he does not know how to edit his Google Maps entry so the hours are not correct. Just stop by and see if he’ll join you in the tasting room.

Amazing place and tremendous wines! Flavorful, deep, delicious wines - we bought all three. Bill is knowledgeable and real. If you’re tired of sterile corporate wineries, Frick is the place to go to meet a REAL winemaker and taste real wine.

We traveled to Sonoma for my 50th birthday and visited the Frick Winery. One to check off our bucket list! We cannot say enough about the hospitality and beautiful vineyard. This winery is a hidden little gem with character inside and out. Bill was very welcoming and provided some great education on his variety of grapes, wine making process and even showed us some vines on his property that were over 100 years old. We got to taste his newest creations and they were outstanding. (Lucia was our favorite) This winery is unique in that, Bill is a one man show, doing everything from picking to processing to pouring. If you are looking for an authentic wine country experience, you must visit Mr. Frick. Thank you Bill for your hospitality and amazing wine. We hope to be back! Matt and Sarah.

Meet Bill. He’s a nice guy and knowledgeable but the overall experience was not great. He is not super friendly and does. It show you the facilities. Not really worth the stop.

This place is hidden gem off the beaten path, but let that discourage you. First once you arrive here, you will greeted with 360 degrees vineyard view on rolling hills. It is very serene and immersive. Their wines are unique which I never tasted before. Not only that I bet you might not see other winery like this one where the owner (Bill Frick) of the winery manages whole vineyard and wine making operation single handedly. Not only that, you will be greeted and served by himself. Wines were well balanced and perfect for my palate. I would recommend anyone this place in a heartbeat, you won’t be disappointed!

I have been waiting to go here... just never seemed to work. This time, booked way in advance and was able to meet Bill and taste his amazing wines... very cool to get to know Bill, his passion is in his wine. What Bill does, is being lost to all these big wineries and such. Do yourself a favor and book a trip to visit Bill and sample some of his tasty wines.

Such a lovely winery with unique offerings - had to go home with a bottle of Syrah, excellent taste. The free tasting was extensive and greatly appreciated.

Great winery. Tasting is free, and wine bottles are just $29!!! Very unique wines, not found in other wineries. A must visit!

Six of us called for an appointment which are 30 minutes long. Since we had six of us he graciously agreed to an hour. The winemaker Bill Frick serves small tastes of his unique Rhone varietals. There’s a rose, cinsault, carignane and blends. All unusual and fun. The wines are all $29! The setting is beautiful in the fall. And everything happens on a modest 7.77 acres. It’s very casual and unpretentious. We recommend it.

Bill Frick, the owner and winemaker, hosts the tastings. He pours only lesser known French varietals-Cinsault, Carignane, Cinoise, and Mourvèdre. The wines are amazing, especially the Cote de Frick. 7.7 acres total, Bill does everything except pick the grapes. One of a kind wines.

Bill Frick 1 man 7.77 acres. Rhone varietals. Among the best small vineyards in Sonoma county.

Small, boutique winery. All wines come from his 7.5 acres. He specializes in French grapes, and the owner will be personally serving you. Been here, at this site with these grapes, for 45 years. If you didn't know this was here, you'd never know. Surprisingly, every bottle is 29.00, shockingly low for the area and given his single source. Google maps will get you there, it's not that far off the beaten path.

Wow. Where else could you taste wines made from single Rhone varietals like Mourvèdre, Counoise, and Cinsaut, and even compare vintages, poured by the vintner himself, who is friendly, totally unpretentious, and a fountain of knowledge? A most pleasant adventure in Dry Creek Valley.

What a gem! Fantastic wines made by a wonderful winemaker whose story was worth the visit alone.
